Don't even try GTA4. I have firsthand experience with it. The game supports very few integrated graphics cards.
Now that I think about it, San Andreas Multiplayer is quite fun, you need to find a good server, and there is a very steep learning curve, but both you and your friend would have no trouble running that game.

Ugh, don't listen to this man, the game is hella fucking fun, I'm not sure whether it'll run on your laptop though (it won't run on your friend's for sure) it might have the same problem with integrated graphics cards that GTA4 has. Don't take my word for it though, I never game on laptops for this exact reason.
