Really good in certain situations. extra 300 damage, health, mana, and armor It's not bad, just not an item you should always pick up. It's good for teams that lack burst, and the enemy team has someone really hard to kill. It REALLY comes in handy in cases like that

necro sceptre is deadly at late game, it makes him a great counter to centaur

Lions scepter doesnt give that much damage. At max level ult, it only gives a bonus 175 damage and -25 mana cost. That's pretty shit for an item that costs 4200 gold. If you wanted that damage, you could've built a dagon for less and it would've been way more effective

It was calculating the magical damage that would be dealt if the enemy was at 1000/2000HP. Generally with his ult you'll be wanting to use it when their HP is at -43%, a bit less if they've got something like a Hood or a Null passive from Rubick. You know what gives more damage to your ult than sceptre? A veil of discord, which is half the price. Your ult is really secondary to your playstyle anyway, you need to be focusing on becoming tanky and for the price sceptre is not good for that. I mean your maths there are kind of self defeating because you're paying 4200 gold for an extra 225 burst damage (assuming base magic resist). That's worse than upgrading a dagon! It's [B]twenty damage more[/B] than a single death pulse. Just buy a Shiva's Guard for 500 more and you make up that difference while having more mana for death pulses, extra tank in EHP - which Necro wants instead of flat HP, which is all raw stats gives you - while shutting down right clickers.

Dagon on Necrolyte is absolutely amazing, ult someone and quickly sneak in a Dagon hit. Dude thinks he's safe above the threshhold, suddenly Dagon. Pop pop pop watching motherfuckers drop.

I honestly would never get scepter on necrolyte, sheepstick/shivas rush is best
