According to VS's lore, she used to be a Skywrath (which means she would have talons like Skywrath mage) but she swapped her body for a spirit one (which is why she is all glowy now).
also that image is somewhat inaccurate because while hopefully someday they are reunited, the lore says that vengeful basically hates the shit out of skywrath right now because she is the embodiment of vengeance and blames him for not saving her
