Well you can get all the games that ps3 has on the xbox 360 except for the few exclusive games. Which is kinda rare to find a decent one (Good ones are heavy rain, MGS, ect). If you barely use a 360 i wouldn't even bother spending money getting another console. A console game is a console game and if you don't play them as much it is pointless to make the switch to another console. Maybe save the money for something you would find more useful.
Also don't both getting caught up in the stupid fanboyism. Both consoles are basically on the same level playing field. Only major differences are Blu-ray capabilities, online play and a few console exclusives.
Prime example of an uneducated fanboy who has no idea what he is talking about is Greendead. Try not to pay attention to that, make the choice that is right for you.

What the hell are you talking about? I don't know like anyone who pirates for XBox, no one wants to go through that work, and PS3 has piracy now anyways.
the PS3 guys were thinking about charging for the playstation network or whatever it is. It was just a discussion about it so yes. It might happen.
I myself own a 360 and like it. I had the PS3 for a few months and I HATED it. I ended up just selling it.
Everyone likes different stuff though, so yes.
PS3 is great overall, but mag is horrible, Get ratchet and clank Future games instead, and they will never charge for PSN, it might be for a premium but ones who don't pay can still play online.

I grew up with nothing but a PSX and when I was 9 finally had a PS2.
I used the 360 controllet and found that it's analog stick placement to be a bit more natural, however that doesn't mean I dislike the PS2/PS3 controller.

I say if you get a PS3, don't miss out on Demon's Souls, LittleBigPlanet, or PAIN! (downloadable from the PS Store). All three are loads of fun. Well, Demon's Souls is challenging, past the point of frustrating sometimes, but still fun somehow.

It gets really old, and really fast. Graphics aren't great, and the gameplay is mediocre... BC2 is what you want to spend your money on.
Even more attractive than God of War III to me is The Last Guardian. It's from Team ICO, who made Shadow of the Colossus, as well as ICO. It looks amazing already, in a way that I don't think even Uncharted 2 can really compete with.

true, i absolutely forgot all about this. shadow of the colossus and ICO are two of my favorite games
I say go for it. Me personally I wouldn't do a switch. I'd just buy a PS3 and keep my 360. I have a lot more friends with 360s than PS3s, but I do like the exclusives that are out for it and would love to play them. However before I get another console, I need a new computer (which will probably defeat the purpose of another console for quite a while).

Well is some how beat Bioware in getting best writing award at GDC Bioware has had the best writing in the video game world while UC2 had a basic bad guy good guy plot where Bioware has a plot based on your moral choices and and complently effect another game but it lost

If I had the monies to do so I would.
Also I prefer multiplayer games because I lack the attention span to play a full campaign (last campaign I fully beat was Episode 1, I am ashamed)

Buy used, save money. Makes a great blu ray player. Don't sell your 360, Go head and get rid of games and accessory's you dont use. If you were to get rid of the 360 im sure something exclusive you wanna play really bad will come out. IE: Halo Reach
All my friends bagged the crap out of me for buying a PS3 when they all had X box's. Now I am the one who is laughing. All the do is complain about how laggy it is and how they keep having to go out and buy X box live. A few of them are even selling their X box's for PS3's. First they kept saying I was an idiot because I couldn't buy Halo 3, but now they don't give a shit about Halo. Sell your X box and buy a PS3!
If you buy a PS3 you can probably sell your DVD player, PS£ supports most formats.
I own both, I enjoy both equally. They both have their ups and their downs.

I honestly got the PS3 for this when I saw it was coming out in 2010.
Of course, now, for the US release, it looks like it is coming out later in the year.
Also, about MAG, I enjoy it, but it can get old, and is pretty much any FPS but with lots of players. If you are interested in it, grab it when its price goes down.

I sold my 360 last year to get a PS3.
The only downside for me is that my college mates own a 360 and are like "get another one so you can play us" but I don't see the point.
I use my PS3 for Gaming, DVD and Blu-ray, and it's getting used ALOT more then when I used to own my 360.
