pc
ya dude, mgs4 and god of war 3 are my favorite pc games
Buy used, save money. Makes a great blu ray player. Don't sell your 360, Go head and get rid of games and accessory's you dont use. If you were to get rid of the 360 im sure something exclusive you wanna play really bad will come out. IE: Halo Reach
Hey buddy, maybe you'd like to gift me 300 fucking dollars to buy a PS3. I don't have any extra cash, that's why I'm selling it.
If you buy a PS3 you can probably sell your DVD player, PS£ supports most formats.
I don't have a DVD player, I've either used my PC hooked up to my TV or my PS2 to play DVDs.
isn't uncharted 2 the most hated game in the fourms
It's a very good game. And every good game has many haters. Therefore this game has very many haters.
It's a very good game. And every good game has many haters. Therefore this game has very many haters.
Which are mainly 360 users. Oh the coincidence in that eh? Though there are a few PS3 owners I know who hate the game but won't give an actual reason other than "it's boring", but they will then sit through the CoD storylines and MP for hours on end.
My Xbox Pro is currently on the Boston Craigslist. I set the price to $575 and I wrote that I was willing to negotiate it down. Thanks for your help guys!
I myself am trying to get a PS3. Mainly for the exclusives and free multiplayer. I plan to get Little big planet, MGS4, Heavy Rain, and Uncharted 2. Just dont have the money...
If I had the monies to do so I would. Also I prefer multiplayer games because I lack the attention span to play a full campaign (last campaign I fully beat was Episode 1, I am ashamed) Games on my list to buy for PS3: Modern Warfare 2 Bad Company 2 The Orange Box Gran Turismo 5 (when it comes out *drool*)
Don't get The Orange Box. The PS3 port is terrible.
I bought a 360 last year and thought it was pretty cool, but I borrowed a friend's PS3 for a week to try out some of the games and I must say that I regret buying a 360. [editline]12:59AM[/editline] Heavy Rain is very good also
OK, with a new 120GB PS3, MW2, and BC2 it comes to a total of 400-something. If I sell for 525+ I still have an extra 75 buckaroos to spend. What should I spend it on?
GET WARHAWK (the 'new' one.) It may be 3 almost 4 years old, but it is the MOST fun and balanced game multi-only game ever.
Uncharted 2 won gdc. You should get it.
Don't get The Orange Box. The PS3 port is terrible.
No it isn't It's just ok
You're forgettin
I loved that movie! Err..
Don't get The Orange Box. The PS3 port is terrible.
I loved it.
go for it op. it pisses me off how much lag I get in my Xbox360. Might buy a ps3 if it's used.
i can stand the lag a lot more than i can stand the Live online community imo. My experience with PSN on the other hand was surprisingly not bad for being a free community. I only played GTA IV on PSN when i rented a PS3. Not everyone had a mic which minimized annoying kids, hardcore trash talkers, etc (all annoyances that ruin games for me). I'm starting to think that if GTA is this tame on the PS3, then i wonder how the other games are on PSN because that is a plus for me. Hey i expect to go into a game with at least one person spamming or shit talking, but when it is overdone and done by everyone *cough live cough* that's what ruins everything for me. But that's just me personally. Being in this thread kinda makes me wanna make the switch or at least get one and keep the xbox but stop paying for live. Because i loved having the PS3 for the 3 month period that I had one.

Well the PS3 is worth it IMO over a 360. It serves a variety of purposes. It can do all the media a 360 can PLUS Blu-ray if you're a movie person. It doesn't have many exclusive games but there's enough to keep you going and it's all quality. Heavy Rain, GoW3, Uncharted 1-2, Infamous, Kill Zone 2, MGS4, LBP, I could name more but you get the picture. I got my PS3 in December and I've been loving it since. The online play though, is not very popular. The 360 has way more players...why? I don't know. The PS3's are still a pretty penny considering they're about 3 years old roughly
Facepunch if full of PS3 Fanboys, so don't expect a straight answer here. There are pros and cons to both systems. PS3 IS quieter, but honestly the difference is only noticeable if you have your TV muted. Xbox Live really is superior to PSN. Seriously. The messaging system, friend invites, every just works faster and more smoothly on Live than PSN, There are actually moderators on XBL that ban people for hacking, unlike on PSN. You have the option to actually control who you hear on XBL, (You can have it automatically mute everyone, everyone except your friends, or hear everyone). You can have the chat parties on XBL, which you can't on PS3. XBL is a vastly superior service and anyone that says otherwise hasn't used both of them. MS points are fucking stupid, though the way the PSN buying works isn't much different. You should just be able to buy something AT COST instead of having to buy chunks of "money" that you can never get refunded. But the question is, IS IT WORTH PAYING FOR? For me it is, but obviously not to you. PS3 can do Blu-ray, MS backed the wrong technology. Both can be a media server, so that's kind of a moot point with either argument. I like the way PS3's interface looks a lot more than Xbox's NXE is fucking retarded looking but the XMB is actually customizable and doesn't look like it was designed for and by an 8 year old. If you really don't feel like paying for Xbox Live, then go with PS3, but you'll be missing out on some awesome exclusives for the Xbox coming up. Crackdown 2 (I spent a LOT of time playing Crackdown so this is a big one for me), Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake, Supreme Commander 2, 99 Nights 2, Halo: Reach, Fable III, Gears of War 3, if Milo and Kate works as well as the demo did then Natal might just be incredible. Yeah, currently PS3's lineup of Exclusives are great, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Last Guardian, Gran Tourismo 5, and a lot more games that aren't very far in the development but look promising. Personally I have a PS3 and Xbox 360, recently I've bought more PS3 games, Heavy Rain, MW2, God of War 3. I really wish I would have just rented Heavy Rain, as it's only about 12 hours worth of Gameplay that you have to replay over and over if you want to see all the endings (which I don't really care all that much about because they're all basically the same). But then PS3 also has some really promising games coming up, but it'll be after the next wave of 360 games comes out. The Agency looks promising, (Demon's souls was supposed to be a system seller, but turned out to be a dud though) MAG isn't fun to me, it's like the worst parts of MW2 and BC2 put together, played the Beta, was not impressed. FF13 is honestly the most boring thing I've played in a while, I have no idea how it gets so many good scores, FF12 was a step in the right direction, but then they go right back to the stupid ass list-based RPG, and take out the good parts (Towns and different weapons). Look at lists of exclusives before you make your decision to sell your Xbox, that's really what it comes down to. Personally I'd buy a used PS3, and keep your Xbox as well. I like owning both, I also have a Wii that hardly gets used, and a PC that gets used more than all 3 combined.
I recently bought a PS3, and I honestly think it was a great decision. Uncharted 2 is probably the best action you can get out of a game, Heavy Rain is a hell of an emotional game, Killzone 2 is good fun, and from what I saw of the God of War III demo, it's cool as hell. It also saves you a shitload of money on a Blu-Ray player if you're in to that.
Well fuck, you guys are making me regret buying an Xbox. :frown:
Don't. 360's are fine. Half of the people here just hate 360's. To be perfectly honest, both systems are just about the same. Exclusives aside? It's what you enjoy more. I own both, I get the best of both worlds, and neither system tops the other for me. I've had very few issues with the 360, and Xbox Live is a much better service than PSN, and the chances are, if you're going to play online games that are multiplatform, you'll want to go with the PS3 because of the free online, but that's only if you don't want to pay for it.
If you don't play on your consoles a lot, why do you even want to get one? Just sell your 360 and keep the money.

I'm not switching because one is better than the other. You realize that Xbox Live GOLD costs money to use, right? I'm 14 and I don't have a constant income. Therefore I cannot possibly take the responsibility for paying for this. 50 dollars is a lot to save up for when you don't have a job. Good fucking lord there's a lot of idiots in this thread. Either read the whole thread or don't post.
Well fuck, you guys are making me regret buying an Xbox. :frown:
i have both and regret neither purchase
Well fuck, you guys are making me regret buying an Xbox. :frown:
thats how i feel too
I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 and while I used to play the Xbox a lot more while playing a large number of games, I now find that I'm having a lot more fun on the PS3 and only playing on a few games. In my opinion the Xbox 360 was the better of the two consoles at first and now the PS3 seems to have brought out a lot more quality games which appeal to me more personally. I would definitely recommend getting a PS3. If you're looking for some exclusives to get for it then the ones I would definitely recommend to you are; Demon's Souls, Uncharted 1 & 2, Killzone 2, Little Big Planet and Metal Gear Solid 4. I would recommend Demon's Souls to you most out of all of those but it might be a little too unforgiving for your first purchase. While I prefer the PS3 over the Xbox 360 I am in no way saying that the Xbox is a bad console, it's just that I personally think the PS3 is better after spending a lot of time with the both of them.

I have a reason though. The play style and 3rd person is a turnoff for me. I'm okay with 3rd person if it is used in fitting situations, so I'll stick to my 1st persons.
