You can place that block that explodes on collision on a rod, and then ram ships with it.

Imagine the defense mechanisms that you could make if this was implemented.
Got a pirate problem? Build a giant sledgehammer and flail it around until everything explodes. Don't like a planet? Cleave it in half with a giant axe.
Actually that make me think of something: the ability to move planets and smash them into other planets.

Just wanted to say that this game gives me the old Minecraft feeling back.
When Minecraft was only in Creative mode and Survival wasn't out yet, i also used to think all day long what i would make once i was home and logged into the game, now i am doing the same with space ships and space stations, just thinking at school and work how i would work out my new plan.

After a few hours I managed to make a nice fat ass ship with 42k Shield regen right now. I only have like half of the inside used up also. White spots are what I have not painted yet.
Got a hatch at the bottom where ships can hover into the front bottom of the ship.

Has 12000 Salvage cannons in it also. Still not finished yet, have to put rocket pods in those side half triangle compartments.
I kinda hope he will make hull blocks that take up little space, so you can hide power blocks/thrusters/weapons beneath them.
Also i would like to see the shields visible, as in when you shoot it you can see its blocked by a shield

Also my turrets aren't working for shit. I built them, docked them and set their AI up correctly, but no matter what I do, they won't do anything. They are running off my ship's power though, so does that do anything to it?

Build a Space Station, or a ship as big as one.
I hope the developer adds in handheld weapons and tools at some point, and make planets a whole lot more interesting.
Also it would be nice if it was less glitchy, but berating a game that's not even version 0.1 yet for general glitchyness seems a little silly.
I'm still very impressed by his motivation to work, he pumps out new versions very often and seem very dedicated. If he can keep this up it will only turn out well.

Hold left ctrl. increase the size of the XYZ selection on the right and then proceed to click away.
So I shared my music with the creator and community. He likes it a lot, so I'm dong a track that fits the feeling of exploring in this game. Since he doesn't know what direction he wants to go with the music, maybe I can help out!

Do you reckon the game will have dynamic music? As in, the music will change during battles?
Oh wow, what if the size of your ship would reflect on the music. Certain parts being louder etc.

The larger the mass, the more brass play!
Until eventually all you hear in your super star destroyer is the inception sound.
Simple as this: the more ships in a sector, either by size or number, the more instruments and intensity is added to the track.

The music could "grow" with your ship or fleet, like this; In a certain area it could calculate the music based on two things: Sizes of ships, and number of ships. Both of these factors will add certain elements to the track. More ships means more subdivisions in the track, as in, 1 beat per measure for really peaceful and only a few ships, or frantic 16-32 beats per measure for a sector with tons of ships. The mass of ships will add more commanding instruments; trombones, trumpets, louder drums.
So if you have a bunch of tiny ships in a sector; the music is soft but frantic. One big ship, and its slow and commanding. Lots of large ships... well, think of an action sonundtrack or something like inception. I could put together a simple track to show this.
