Here's one of the better Mining Melancholy remixes.
i like donkey kong but he has no pants... put pants on that kong pls [editline]06:04PM[/editline] o snap who keeps reporting me
Aww yeah, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Aww, damn. Is there the Mining Melancholy track without lyrics? I don't like them...
I don't know if it's personal taste, but I think the rap part is pretty bad on it's own. they don't really fit the song at all, it's like he's just talking over it. the chorus I could get used to, but the rap kills it. Someone get TH89 in here and ask him what he thinks.

There's In a snow-bound land where they added some japanese chick or something So out of place.
That's what I mean. Why the hell is there rap? Same with Hot-Head Bop, why did somebody sing to it?
On it's own merits, I think Hot-Head Bop was pretty good, but I think the rap was just out of place purely from a musical perspective.
Fuck yes. Pretty much every OCRemix is awesome. Now if only they'd do a full album for FF6...
My Donkey Kong Country cartridge won't hold a save any more :C
This is fucking awesome.
On it's own merits, I think Hot-Head Bop was pretty good, but I think the rap was just out of place purely from a musical perspective.
Yeah I think Hot head bop was the only vocals track that didn't really bother me as much as the others. I still would've have preferred a fully instrumental album to be honest. It's nice that the guy that did the deathmetal final boss song also included an instrumental version. I still don't like his version of the song as much as I do this version though: [editline]04:29PM[/editline]
My Donkey Kong Country cartridge won't hold a save any more :C
That's a SNES problem i think. My super Mario RPG and a friends DK3 did that same problem a few times. Or maybe it is the cartridge, I don't know, where are the game files saved?

Rare respite is really damn great
Rare Respite is fucking great.
I love when they bring in the flute at around 2:53
oh btw OCR has announced that it's workin on the album for the 3rd game now (has been since last December). I can't remember much about that game but people keep telling me it didnt have as great a soundtrack, however, people on ocr are claiming that the game boy version has a really good soundtrack, and this album is going to cover both albums in one. So could be pretty rad, assuming they get the same level of talent they had on the DKC2 album. Probably not gonna have the album for like 2 years though.
Another good Jib Jig remix:
Token up is too long. Sounds like the guy went on an acid trip
awesome
awesome
DKC avatars in da house
the bramble blast remix reminds me of the SSBB version:
Downloading this tomorrow for my trip to the beach. Blasting solid techno, yo.
I see no title theme :saddowns: Unless it has a name I don't know.

I remember OC Remix. I downloaded their Final Fantasy 7 album a while back :D
After listening to them all, I've come to the conclusion that I liked Kong In Concert ( the DK1 version of this ) better. A few of the songs were fucked up so bad. Granted, they have how many years of nostalgia to go against, but still. School House Harmony, I mean seriously I can't even hear the original in this one, without the name I wouldn't have known. A New Place - lyrics. Ew, no. Did not care for this one at all. Us Monkeys Together - See above. Club Klubba - Not really sure where this one was going. It was alright, but didn't have the same feel. Backwards Room - This one was actually pretty good, but the guy singing didn't really go with the music in my opinion. Trapped in the Minds - It was alright. Prefer the original version. My brother absolutely hated it ( and this is the one he wanted to be good ). Rhuma Rumble - Original title was "steel drum rhumba," so I feel this was too obvious of a route to take. It was alright, just felt like it was the news pun of the group. Also, Monkeys Disarm Their Kremlings. BANANAS. BANANAS. BANANAS. I like it just because it made me laugh. Granted, the rest of them were good if not awesome. I feel that Rare Respite, Tetanus, Apes of Wrath, Beneath the Canopy, Swamp Gases, Dance of the Zinger, Bramble Reprise ( was very happy this one wasn't fucked up ), High Seas, and Re-Skewed were the best tracks. Was happy to see this even if some of the tracks let me down. The more I listen to This Chase Is Haunted, the more I like it.

Last time I checked, they only mentioned how it would be nice to complete the trilogy and all, but they weren't sure about it as it's so time consuming. Anyways, like I said in the GMF, I still can't believe David Wise himself contributed. He's such an awesome guy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uWf_MZgWxg&feature=channel
Thanks. It's quite different from the original though, still pretty good. I downloaded their Final Fantasy 7 album a while back :D
NOT ENOUGH ONE WINGED ANGEL REMIXES /caps Seriously, that song has been remade so many times it's uncountable. Not that it's a bad thing if the remix is good.
Crystal Swamp was good, but nothing can be as catchy as the original:
