Master Yi top is so underrated, as long as you start with some wards you should be fine, his dueling is great and his sustain from W is also underrated, especially if you max it second

usually mid champs have good waveclears so it evens out while on top its in your favor most of the time
I want to believe that Janna mid is viable, because she is my favorite supp champ thanks to her massive utility and chase/escape power.
Some early AP and you can clear pretty much an entire wave of creeps with a fully-charged Q, and your Q+W combo makes it easy for the jungler to gank.
AP nunu top has always been great
