Janna is still strong
all they did to janna was nerf the ratio and slow on her w and increased the cd on her ult at level 1 and 2
but they also reduced the insane manacost on her ult and improved her basic attack

it's not like any of that matters as long as she still has her shield that gives a free bf sword to anyone end game
I didn't say she was terrible, I just said that she's nowhere near where she used to be, and that other supports outshine her in most areas. It's not like you can't still have a decent round with her.

Just a guess, but maybe due to map awareness and good ability to estimate where the jungler is. Wards don't mean shit if you don't look at map.
She obviously isn't as aggresive as Leona, but they are both two different genres of supports and I'd say Janna excels at her playstyle

Probably people can play efficiently with less wards, for instance warding one side of mid and sticking to it is more efficient than warding both sides and having 100% security

How to midgame 101
I tried AP Nunu top just to see what it's like because I didn't watch the LCS match, went 4/0 against Vlad with 2 ganks and finished 8/4, I kinda fell off lategame because I didn't build tanky enough and there wasn't anything to eat to heal up 1k health, but we steamrolled the match and won. Also two shotted their Zed by ulting in a bush and then snowballing him. Pretty fun gimmick, probably won't play it again. Also you can solo dragon and baron really early as Nunu.
