There's this one voice that I do that I guess I got from Dumbledore back in my Potter Puppet Pals phase, and whenever I use it everyone's like "stop trying to sound like bane" and I'm like "FUCK YOU I'VE BEEN DOING THIS VOICE FOR YEARS AND I HAVENT EVEN SEEN THE DARK NIGHT RISES YET"

It's not! it's a big video approximation of what Gmod could look like in VR mode (assuming it would do it like TF2 does)

If it were running on a rift, it would be to counteract the lens distortion so that it comes out as an even image when you're wearing a headset.
This video made me realize, what if during the Gman intro you have no body, then as he puts you on the train you 'warp' into your body that's already standing there.
Giving you the idea that Gman placed your body there earlier for your soul to get thrown into.
This might make more sense as your looking up and around at the citadel innards and test chamber (but otherwise wouldn't matter since your view is normally locked anyway, but hey the player could be given a little ability to look around right? maybe see an Easter egg that wouldn't have been hidden without it)

Your view is fixed in that animation, even with full-body awareness, you wouldn't know if you had a body or not. Now if you want to think that, sure fine, FBA won't ruin that for you, and if you don't, well, just think of it differently.
I don't really want to let the players look around in the g-man 'cutscenes', in my opinion it would ruin them a bit.

You're allowed to look around during the one at the end, when it first starts and you're still on the Citadel. I don't think you're supposed to though because if you turn around you'll see that parts of the Citadel behind you have vanished.
With that in mind, the player should only be able to turn around a certain amount, like being in a prisoner pod

Maybe we'll just make the camera somewhat fixed, so you can look around a bit, but not all the way behind you, to keep you from seeing the gaps.

Depends on the time and people we have. I would love to have a 'get in jeep' and 'get in airboat' animation, but if we don't have the time or people to do it, we'll leave it out.

You sound somewhat young, sure it has that scruffy feeling but underneath that it seems like a young voice. An older voice actor can pull off those kind of voices better because their voice is fully developed, on top of the scruffy feeling.

Bleh. I was getting pretty angry the other day returning to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. I just couldn't get back into it. I used to be great at it, but after returning for so long I've found myself getting upset at how little the guns damage people. The improper thing to do would be to mess with the guns, but jeez it feels like the guns don't do very much in a battle. I literally double barreled into a guy three times and [b]I[/b] died. :(

it's where the spent shells eject out of, you don't want them on the left, or they'd be flying into your face!
