I've noticed that the reload animation for the 357 suggests that Gordon reloads the cylinder using moon clips, somehow he can reload 6 bullets together without using one. :v:
If this is the chosen method remember to make the cylinder recessed.

I'd use the speedloader too, I don't think anyone uses moon clips anymore

I also hate how Gordon spins the cylinder for no reason, that part of the animation could be replaced with Gordon's thumb pulling the hammer back or something.

This sounds good then, I like it. You should toy with making the ground in general more rough. Perhaps a texture can be made for sand full of pebbles and shells like these:

The top sand is usually nice and all but once you get a few meters into the water things start getting rough. So what better way to show "there used to be water here" than to have the soft sand above where the beach used to be and extremely rough sand below where the water used to cover?

By God that's genius. Maybe the spinning could be retained the first time Gordon picks up the revolver; like how the Black Mesa Hornet gun has the initial fisting animation.

Rather than painting the lighting on it you should make an Ambient Occlusion bake.

Well, all the weapons really need to be reanimated, partially because the old animations suck, and partially because we'll be using full body awareness, which would be using an actual player model, not just first person hands.

Post all you want, also you should go for rosewood instead of reddish wood. I think that is what the Annabelle is supposed to have.
I felt like I was posting too much of the revolver too. It just felt a little spammy when posting that many pictures of the same model, but I guess it looks different to people watching/giving the CC.

Hmm, getting there, though I think the 'end cap' on the wood should be more of a shiny dusted brass/copper, than a solid color. The pump lever and the trigger should be either a darker version of that color, or made to match the lighter center metal piece.
Maybe you could also color the butt of the gun to be brass/copper like on the vanilla too?

I always pretended that gordon's HEV suit used magnets to keep them in place.
