I need your help guys, what color should the 'pump handel' be? Should it be a dark, dull coppery color like the original model. Or match the light silver of the middle gun piece?

should you really be obsessing over something players don't even notice
coast should have gentle waves like the coast in dear esther. this is something that has always bothered me on coast.
keep it like the original i think

Lost Coast actually has overlay textures for lapping coastal waves and tide flow.

Personally, I'd say keep it like the original.
This article about material proxies has a test map where it has an interesting effect to emulate waves, maybe it could be useful:

Sometimes if I'm working on something for too long, it'll never look perfect. I have to step back and look at it from a fresh perspective, maybe even rake a break first, before I can truly say if it's finished or if I've been caught in an infinite loop of nitpicking.

Did that on purpose, because i still need to fix alot of things on the normal, and the spec was a quick render in crazybump.

As Valve says (or some other game developer) When its perfect, you don't notice it
When it's not perfect, players wont say anything, but it popped up in their brain somehow as defective.

[/B]Since so much work was put into it I figure we should add it to Deathmatch as something like the "super shotgun" from DOOM and other classic FPSes. It would shoot two shots and at point blank take 50 health. Its alt fire is both shells and the downside is a slow reload speed and has a small ammo capacity compared to the regular shotgun.

When did we say it was going to be a bonus weapon? I know it looks great and all, but it should stay with Grigori, after all, we don't need 2 shotguns. Same goes for DM, imho.

Oh? I thought everyone agreed that it was going to be one a few pages ago. Oh well. Threads moving so damn fast its sometimes hard to tell if somethings being added in or not.
I think at the very least we could animate the fp and allow it to be obtainable like it is in current hl2.
