Volibear's more traditional views lined up more with Sejuani than with Ashe.

Her skillcap doesn't seem all that high honestly. Just bought her and I'm 3/0 so far with her. The stun mechanic is a little wonky but once you get the hang of it, it's an incredibly strong initiation. Plus her level 6 burst is basically a kill. That being said - she gets shit on by assassins.

Generally but I wouldn't trust it for a champion rarely played like Syndra.

ADC can't go alone, so he has to have someone with him.
Sending them bot is better because there are more people near dragon which is more relevant in laning phase.
AP carries get more benefit from EXP, so they have to be alone.
If you're alone, it's good to be either tanky enough to survive (top, and they still get camped a lot and have the worst time vs junglers) or have a short lane to escape (mid).
Also, bot isn't close to blue buff for any team so the AP carry won't get it easily.
Therefore, the AP carry goes mid alone, and the bruisers go top because they don't really matter early game.
This is how I see it, at least.

Item win rates are incredibly misleading if you use them to choose your build. Just look at ad carry item win rates, usually last whisper is fairly similar or higher in win rate compared to AD carry staples like bloodthirster or infinity edge, but ofc LW is best saved for after you have a real dmg item.
