Uhm, okay.. I'm 17 so I don't see why I wouldn't live with my parents.. But still, I don't see the point of downloading porn, you get sick of the video after you've seen it once..
I give the hackers my info, cause they activate my account for a month, then I just get it back if I want to play again.
He called Blizzard about it 4 days ago and they still haven't done anything about it
So much for customer service

Dont be dumb and fall for obvious fake emails.
the link in this email actually directed to "http://www.blizzarid.com/battle/login/index.asp" which is subtly fake.
If you get told your password has broken, type the usualy worldofwarcraft.com address into your browser and log in manually that way.
Though ive only ever had a genuine blizzard email when i got perma banned

The hackers purchase gametime for you if your acc is frozen?
get him APB,less assholes there
Then I bet he'll find a way to get himself hacked there too!
80K gold? I'll bet your "brother" was buying gold.. In the 5+ years I've been playing, I've never had my account hacked, and had an authenticator for the last 2 years & Ive never recieved fake emails (to click on fake links).
Gold sellers typically will target those who buy from them by sending stupidly fake emails... If they dont know you, they dont target you.
He never bought gold i don't think
He never bought gold i don't think
Dont be sure.. How else would they have gotten his account details?
In all four years (I've played since the launch of the EU Game, with breaks mind) and I've never, once lost my account. Frankly, if you lose it, you're an idiot. I've got friends that have never lost theirs either.
That said, the authenticator is also a worthwhile investment (although a free one if you get the mobile one)
Tell your brother congrats, becuase everytime i've been hacked ive come out with 5-10k profit.
(just ask blizzard to re-imburse ALL items from when you got hacked, voila, free stuff from gold farmers.)
So he finally bought an authenticator and Blizzard finally decided to unban his account
Authenticator should make you safe.
I sold my first account and it got hacked numerous times when i was level 80. made about 3k gold each time i recovered but in the end i confessed to blizzard and they perma banned me.
This was before authenticators exsisted i think, or i was just too cheap to buy one
Wait so, if the gold farmers get a hold of your password and username, they purchase game time if its frozen?

Yeah they do, my email I use for personal things that doesn't even have anything WoW related linked to it gets them

Yeah, they do. I've had it happen to me once, then I just kept doing it. But, I really don't play WoW since my guild left the server. I have no money to pay for Transfer and Faction.
