Fallout 3 + Broken Steel = godly. The thing about Fallout 3 seems to be that few people just like it or just dislike it. It's either "this game is fucking shit." or "I love this."
I think Fallout 3 is okay.
Well the way I see it, the gaming experience is enhanced (and in ways better) when emotions are triggered on the player. EDIT: It's kinda the same way with movies.
Depends on the player.
Fallout 3 has a greats story line and great RPG characteristics. I do wish they had spent a little more time with the shooting gameplay. But the again it's an RPG and not a shooter.
Fallout 3 was much better. Borderlands was supposedly a brand new genre of "FPS/RPG", but it didn't have much freedom in the genre of RPG, like you only talk to people you're supposed to, you only kill people you're supposed to, and your decisions in the game have no effect on the outcomes. The FPS side was pretty mediocre and basic compared to all the other shooters that we have today. Fallout 3 on the other hand, had great RPG mechanics. You had much more freedom compared to Borderlands, and your different decisions in the game actually made a difference to the outcomes. The FPS side of Fallout 3 fell a bit short also, but then again, the FPS side was never meant to be a strong point in Fallout 3. And you have to admit, the VATS system is pretty cool.
If you have friends with Borderlands that will play with you, get it. But if you don't just get Fallout 3, both are good games.
Can you play online co-op on Fallout 3? Me and my friend enjoy playing borderlands with eachother.
I enjoyed borderlands but I'd have to say Fallout 3, so much more you can do in that game.
Borderlands is far better in many ways. Art Style Music Gameplay Voice Acting and Vehicles
What music? The music in borderlands is shit. At least we can listen to music in Fallout 3.
Fallout 3 with all expansions
I was kinda upset when I saw Fallout 3 didn't have many quests, like Oblivion, but then I realized several quests are the same, such as killing X amounts of Y to get Z. Such as 'Go Fish' and 'Bear Season'. Fallout has a lot less quests, by far, but they all are very unique. And the Wasteland Survival Guide at least has you go out of your usual 'comfort zone' to explore and get used to certain areas.
Can you play online co-op on Fallout 3? Me and my friend enjoy playing borderlands with eachother.
I would like to see a mod that allows co-op of some sort (preferably online)
Neither, get STALKER or Metro. [editline]11:58AM[/editline]
Fallout 3 was much better. Stalker call of pripyat is awesome, get that.
Lets see... both?

Because I've never played Fallout 3, Borderlands all the way.

Bullets leave the barrels in the weirdest angles. [editline]05:56PM[/editline] And no, it's not really the same. VATS is percentage of hitting, no realtime aiming at all.
This doesn't even deserve a poll, Fallout 3 by far.
Fallout 3 has x10 the re playability.
Borderlands is fun at first, but it's really short. The endings also a game killer. Fallout 3 is honestly one of my longest playing games. I've had it since it came out, and I'm still playing it now. The mods are amazing, the same goes for the DLC.
Borderlands had the possibility to be fun, if the online worked right (assuming PC) which it didn't. Fallout 3 however wasn't meant to rely on online interaction to be fun, it was intended as a single player game and does very well in that.
Fallout 3 is great the first time you play, but gets boring after you've done everything. Borderlands is just boring right off the bat.
Depends on it. If you´re going to get it on a console, get borderlands. Borderlands if fun with friends, but if you play solo, it´s pretty repetitive. If you like FPS´s, get Borderlands. Fallout 3 is better on the pc, since you have mods. Fallout 3 doesn´t get repetitive fast, and if it does, try to get all unique weapons and bobble heads. If you like FPS-RPG´s, get Fallout 3.
Well they call it Fallout 3 but really it has nothing with Fallout to do and it's absolutely not worth calling a sequel to one of the best WRPG's
No, it does have something to do with the other fallouts. Fallout: BoS, now THAT, that has nothing to do with anything else. And I think its worth calling it a fallout. and does WRPG mean anything, or did you hit the w key trying to hit the r key, and then forgot to backspace?
Fallout 3, the Karma system makes it much more interesting.
Wait for Brink. It's pretty much both games mixed with Mirror's edge.
Wait for Brink. It's pretty much both games mixed with Mirror's edge.
I found Mirrors Edge quite, well, repetitive.
I found Mirrors Edge quite, well, repetitive.
It only has the whole freerun system in it.
Fallout 3 is great if you mod the living shit out of it. Marts mutant mod Fellout Greener world FOOK Just some good ones.
Fallout 3: Everything EXCEPT the main story is in-depth. if you take the time to do a quest you would know more about a dead raider than you do about your dad PLUS a unique chinese assault rifle. (Did i mention i hated the lack of diversity in the weapons of FO3 compared to the like of FO1/2?) TL;DR: Its like a big random buffet table, sure you may eat your fill but when youre all filled up you cant go back straight away to eat more. Borderlands: Small doses of repeated awesome fucking of multiple shits up (Like feeling: " OH MY GOD I JUST PUNCHED THE GUYS FACE OFF. I HAVE MANLY MACHISMO SPURTING OUT EVERY ORIFICE IN MY BODY. I AM A MONSTER TRUCK THAT WALKS LIKE A MAN.) but it does wear off after a while.
