• Attachment to fictional characters - Is it normal?

Mother 3, and the beginning of fragile got me. In fact, the beginning of fragile was quite strange, as you have very little previous knowledge of him, but it manages to still make you feel sad about "him" passing away. Probably because of how it affects the boy.
Basically this; if you become attached to a character. Then they did one hell of a job on the plot and character design. [editline]10:49PM[/editline] For instance, when the dog died in Fallout 3 I was so pissed off I got out my Missile Launcher and killed Megaton and Tenpenny. Then I walked to Rivet City, grabbed a beer, and called it a day.
I have a crush on Garrus
Tali :3
Aerith From FF7 (Aeris? Forget her name exactly) So sad, just wanted to punch Square Enix.
I know I'm really late, but was the only one that was like "Fuck yes!"? I hated the bitch.
Not really much, but I've had it a few times: Mw2:[sp]When ghost died :c [/sp] Also I had a pretty sad moment in a random battle I made with the ArmAII editor, I got shot by a machinegun but some awesome corpsman pulled me away risking his own life, I had a pretty dramatic view of him dragging me away while bullets hit the ground around us... Then behind the cover of some destroyed humvee he patched me up and I was alive again. Then some rifleman got shot in the field and the corpsman sprinted out to save him too, then just as he started to drag he got teared apart by a machinegun and I was like "NOOooOooOOoO!" I felt pretty sad afterwards. I spent the rest of my ammo shooting the corpse of the machinegunner until I restarted the scenario.
I was shocked when[sp]Raziel died[/sp]in Legacy Of Kain: Defiance. [editline]01:31PM[/editline] I was also shocked with how shitty the ending of that game was.
It's funny that Captain Price died in the Boat on that one mission, he commands you to sabotage the ship and afterwards he's simply dead on the ground.
Having to choose [sp]who dies in Mass Effect 1. Sure, I didn't really like Ashley as a character, but come on. She knew she was going to die and still fought bravely to her end. Bitch or not, that was worthy of respect.[/sp]
Well I didn't attach very to the characters in Mass Effect 1, I thought that Garrus and Wrex were cool but the others I didn't care that much.
I didn't like Mass Effect 1 sooo much but Mass Effect 2 is really awesome. I got really attached to Mordan (Salarian scientist) and Legion (THE Geth) since they are so incredibly awesome. I love the way Mordan talks, too. When i run Suicide Mission i made some bad choices and they both died i was all like NOOOOOOOO and then restarted from the save before the mission to do more side quests, i hope that second time they won't die :( Also in some of the games i really like specific characters like: Kane from C&C, Dante from Devil May Cry, Gideon from Advent Rising.
