For games where Winamp global hotkeys don't work in game, the global hotkeys will work if you open the steam overlay (shift+tab) and then use them.

I use itunes in the background and my iPod touch with the remote app. Works well because my media player buttons on my keyboard don't work unless the media player window is active.

On the left, a Remotes category comes up and your iPod should be under there.

I myself use iTunes with the blue G15's media keys.

Use the ingame browser for an internet radio website, unless you got songs on your pc.

I just use Winamp+universal hotkeys. Even when WA doesn't have focus, I can control it. Use it ingame all the time.
