I and my friend are both in for EU server Zombie.

Zombie isn't an EU server. Right now the EU servers are Patriot and Obeya, it looks like the Facepunch clan is going to Patriot at the moment. Will you and your friend be joining us, Haxxer?

I think that specifically it's a gun manufacturer in the game's fiction, but, you know, that's just backgroung fluff. Probably the same for Patriot. And the US servers are named after the criminal faction heads in the social district.

The Patriot Vegas (which is available to both factions) and the Patriot Jericho (Enforcer faction car). And no, only Zombie is. LaRocha is the head of the Praetorians (Enforcer).

I think this game's going to be amazing. I just hope it turns out well in the long run, would displease me to see it become unpopular in less than a year :(
