It's relatively popular for a 2006 game, and with the steam release and new patch it's bound to make a bit of a comeback.
I remeber when this game had been out for the first few months, I managed to get into the Top 100 of most dog tags collected - which at the time was around 800+

That was also back in the day when there were knife only servers.
Then some 12 year old would come on and run everyone over and say "PLS DONT KIK JUST NED BADGE K?"
I actually got my tagknife by fucking people over in actual games rather than knife servers. I always manage to get 3 or 4 knife kills on infantry centric maps, because usually I'll empty the mag of my rifle, get killed, get revived, use the Herzog, say fuck the pistol and just run at the bastards. Managed to kill an entire squad with the knife today too because shit gets really dicey.
Is the knife bug still persistant? As in you'd knife someone and you'd hear the clank and see the dust, but they'd take no damage.
Followed by them 180ing you and spraying your face with all sorts of futuristic bullets.
Also Rorsch Sniping was how men were made.
Yeah, that was insanely fun.

Fucking PnkbstrB.exe Heartbeats stopped. When will you stop ruining my gaming experience. So simple to fix and so mysterious as to occur. But I hate alt-tabbing out of game.
Will they have Mac support for the Steam Version? Because Mac players such as myself would like to play this game, and we would like to know if it comes out.

Probably not. At release there was a mac version, but it was a shitty port and probably still won't run on the most high end macs today.

I have the best fucking memories from this game. Definately a favorite, and the community was always great. I think I lost the information to my account though...
Regarding the alt-tabbing to fix the Pnkbstr B issue. I'm aware I have to set all the options in the services menu to "restart the service" but below that I see a box where I get to set the time it restarts and the default is 1 minute, do I change that to 0? or to I just leave it as it is?

I just leave it as it is, I don't think it makes all that much of a difference.

£27 for a UK based ranked 30 slot server for a month. Quite steep really, but not too ridiculous. Lots of extras.
I just realised that it's more likely we will want a US based one, maybe?
Rate agree for UK and disagree for US.

Seriously! There's no instruction! No single player to help learn the ropes! Nothing! I would just join a server, walk around, blow up. Get in a vehicle, drive around, blow up. Get in a helicopter, fly around, blow up. And I'd say 1 in 10 times I actually knew why I died, everything else just said "You were killed by genericfaggotcockshitname" without any indication as to with what, or how, or maybe a little tip to prevent myself from doing that 5 more times. I can't ask for help in game either, because it's instantly drowned out by the constant "<INSERT VEHICLE/FEMALE MASTURBATION SOUND HERE> SPOTTED" even though I doubt I really care, or at least I see no point in them yelling it over a map-wide radio. It's like yelling "HES ON YOUR 6" to 10 different fighter pilots at the same time.
What do I do!? I've tried multiple servers and they're all the same thing. Get spawned on massive map. Get vehicle raped. Spawn. Get jet raped. Spawn. Die to someone and be left wondering if they were using a gun or if a tactical nuke just went off under your feet.
There is singleplayer. And if you find yourself on a server with someone who has |TG| as their tag join a squad with them and get you to walk you through it. BF isn't the easiest game to pick up.

Play on an Infantry only map or server.
I found the case but no disc, the V1.51 patch comes with a no-cd but no one plays that version.
Well I was able to log into my account, and I entered my CD key, but it says "The specified registration code has been used previously."

Ok so I have Northern Strike, some big ass gun that replaces the scar 11 and takes up half the screen, and bf2 veteran status

I'm trying to activate northern strike but every time I try to access the web-page that actually activates it I just come affront to this "Proxy Error" when it DOES work clicking the 'continue' or w/e button brings me to a similar error'd page which doesn't seem to give in no matter how many times I retry. :smith:
