Because that's arrogant and snobby.
Yeah, what snobs. They work on a game for eight years and then get nominated for an award. The only thing that would make them even bigger snobs is if they won based on popular vote. Snobs.
Because that's arrogant and snobby.
Sometime you do a thing just to hear someone that thank you. Voting is my way to thank them.

Snobs.
If you work on something for eight years and create something great, you will get rewarded. If you have to force it, you don't deserve it. The way Mr Uber worded made it sound like he was suggesting they milk it.
Alright, I get you. Black Mesa isn't milking it as far as I can tell, though.
Alright, I get you. Black Mesa isn't milking it as far as I can tell, though.
They said "guys, it's here" and that was about it as far as I know.
Alright, I get you. Black Mesa isn't milking it as far as I can tell, though.
No, I don't think they are either, what Mr Uber said doesn't apply to Black Mesa at all. You can't deny that what he said made him seem like he was saying they should milk it.
Hazard-Course 2 should win
Hazardous Course 2 was amazing.
one thing.. if i wanted to export a character model from black mesa source to lets say 3ds max with its animations, how would i go about doing so ?

37:36 What in the bloody hell is this supposed to be?
When he said that the same road you come across time and time again is actually one single road, my mind was blown. This guy is really good at level design. The fights looks awesome, and hey he changed the speed of the aircrafts flying above you. Now they look like going fast, but slow by fighter standards given that they are dogfighting. Sharp turns are a bitch at reducing speed. It boggles my mind how all this new content is done by one guy, it's incredibly well done.
Oh wow, he even fixed up the sniper part by making it easier to kill him and adding cover. This guy is good.
He really perfected it. My only concern is when you drop down to the Garg encounter some enemies might cause unnecessary damage.
He really perfected it. My only concern is when you drop down to the Garg encounter some enemies might cause unnecessary damage.
Really now
Holy shit, it's awesome now. Now who will tackle On a Rail? :v: It's the weakest chapter in the game now because the devs went overboard and absolutely butchered it. (The rails aren't electrified anymore, it's completely linear and there's absolutely no exploration anymore, and on top of that the chapter is much shorter now when the rocket silo is supposed to be miles away from where you started.) [editline]15th December 2012[/editline] Also, can someone tell me which .cfg files are associated with the grunt's reaction times and accuracy? I'd really like to change them because i'm starting to get tired of seeing the grunts fire their guns and their bullets somehow hitting me before they're even facing in my general direction.
Paste the following into the skill.cfg: (Found in Sourcemods/BMS/cfg) ai_reaction_delay_alert "0.3" ai_reaction_delay_idle "0.75" ai_shot_bias "4" ai_shot_bias_max "5" ai_shot_bias_min "3" ai_LOS_mode "1" This was suggested by someone in the BMS forums. I don't know precisely what some of those values do, but it seemed to work after I tried it. The marines are far less annoying now.
Really now
It's a great scene and I think the chance to worry about enemies might distract from it.
I wonder if the BMS Devteam is considering implementing the Surface Tension addition, any word on this?
I wonder if the BMS Devteam is considering implementing the Surface Tension addition, any word on this?
they won't
they won't
Ah, that's a shame, it's looking pretty nice though.
they won't
Recently, he applied at the dev team...
they won't
It should be noted however that the cut section was left out due to manpower constraints, not because the devs neccessarily wanted to cut it in the first place. The fact that the Gargantua scene is so rushed and buggy in the vanilla BMS seems to support this. I hope his work gets added.
There are big problems with the mortar strikes and other physic problems in the new Surface Tension. check bm_c2a5i.
There are big problems with the mortar strikes and other physic problems in the new Surface Tension. check bm_c2a5i.
About the bug of the mortar tablet(flickering) This is a strange bug , bacause it does not happen everytime(it's hard to nail it down): Could be a engine bug or a buggy implementation. It happens (sometime) in vanilla BM and in Surface Tension Uncut. I tested all the versions of Surface Tension Uncut and I had this issue only once. It could be something beyond mapping.

Not to mention the effects on the screen probably also not helping issues, if i'm remembering the mortar tablet having some slight fuzz effects right or something.
A reminder Tomorrow is out Black Mesa:Uplink a remake of the original HL demo of 1999. It will feature several sub translations and commentary mode. Have I mentioned how much I dislike Eli's voice acting? When Kevin's voice is coming out of a black security guard, it sounds fine, but the moment he's told in advance he's playing a black guy, all hell breaks lose.
