The shit, someone banned me from the server?

There's no point. It's water covered in ice.
After this picture I did jump, but lost some health due to the jump.
I'll trade anyone Armed Assault 2 for Minecraft :3:
Animal Farm!
Hey guys, I'll gift someone Cryostasis if they gift me Minecraft!
[editline]09:50PM[/editline]
Yes I have been posting in the gift giving thread
The trading thing was in the OP. But I'm happy you found a way to possibly get Minecraft.
Also, I'm building a giant igloo fort.

Now that he mentions that book, I'm naming it Snowball. It is snowy.
Built an igloo out of snow, made an amazing lighting system in the floor so I don't melt all the snow, come here and find out I didn't need to bother as snow blocks don't melt.
Also, how do I find these ice caves? Are they caves under the ice, or actual caves made of ice?

Snow blocks (the ones you make) don't melt... Yet..
OK, I now have 3 sheep and no pigs. I guess the pig turned into a sheep.
So there's snowball the sheep, pork the sheep, and death the sheep.

I'm gonna need a ton more snow for my fort.

They are usually just underwater lakes, but in snow maps.
Mine was a huge monolith over a subterranean lake, and it goes all the way to the bottom of the map. It's a glitch, but a beautiful one at that.

Find/make a couple waterfalls, block them off, then make ramps going down every 5-6 blocks. Then wait a day or so, then unblock them. SNOW.

Can I see a diagram, all I have is two simple snow mills? Page king.
Snowballs are actually quite useful in combat. In SMP, they could irritate and confuse the opponent, but with current mobs, they can hold them off, push them off ledges or cliffs, or knock them into lava. Plus, you will always have a load of them.

So here's the basic setup. A blocked waterfall, and some snowy area.
You destroy the blockage and...

Sucess! You knock off the snow, and get instant snowballs.
This is the basic setup, so you can make it more complex with winding mountain paths, crunching numbers, and other stuff including levers, buttons and ground up pigs.
[editline]09:28PM[/editline]
I am ripe with ideas right now. When snow blocks melt, you can set up those red torches to make dissolve blocks. I can't wait. It opens up more doors to logic and possibly some sorts of complex traps.

I have those, but with water at the top of some stairs, with a block on the bottom to stop it from flowing into the regenerating snow.
Why is no one posting. I feel so alone.
(Grateful automerge breaker)
Placed water at the top of a mountain. Tidal wave of snowballs was huge, not going to need snow for a long time
That's a nice way to get snow balls.
for some reason it reminds me of getting sap from tress.

Why make a "mill" when you can just run around placing water springs on hills and have a full inventory in < 5 minutes?

Or you could use the snowballs like African protestors use their trumpets.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZT

Once you set it up, it takes less than a minute to get snow, less if you have stuff even more organized.
It's also something to do.

Yeah but normal hills take less than a minute to get half an inventory
anyways who cares, something new to build :D
Snow farms don't look very efficient.
hmmm.. For snow mills, lava could be better, as it light up and potentially melts nearby snow as well. But that would burn up the snow it touches...
I think that a lava piping system could work well.

Snowfort.
And I think I'm going to make snow piles for snow ball storage instead of chests. Aesthetic reasons.
Ok, never mind, they are actually fairly efficient.
I now have a daily rotation of pigs/sheep. I just name them the same things.
Snowball, death, pork, and meat.
