Also in SMP you could have a big pit with lots of 1x1 floating platforms, and you have to jump between them to get to the snowballs at the end,and you knock people off with them! :D

Sand and gravel do if the map generates them in the air, seen it happen once or twice, but if you remove a block that's connected to them, it falls.

What a horrible argument; you can't compare snow going through solids with fantasy creatures and floating islands.
They are justified because they're fantasy and it makes sense in a fantasy setting but snow going through solid things such as glass and hard snow/ igloos isn't.

To quote, hit the reply button in the bottom right corner of someones post. To use emotes, you have to know their name. You can do them like this:

Except, remove the spaces.

I'm gonna suggest a Weeping Angel like monster that turns into the blocks nearest to it when it's seen, whenever I'm in a stream of Minecraft until it's implemented.
