Ok, added a lot to the texture pack, I fucked up the lava though so it'll take 10 mins just to do the lava, and yes, the texture pack MAY be released within the next 24 hours.

He basically took all the fun i've been having since the snow came away from me and now I look around and see snow as an annoying, useless thing...8 snowballs per slot? Shovels to get it? IIRC i go outside and gather snow with my hands to make snowballs, not shovels...He basically also turned making snow forts really difficult into making them impossible to create...I'm not liking this update one-fucking-bit...Snow is useless now, you can't do anything with it unless you hack your inventory with 100 diamond shovels and spend a week digging snow in order to make a little fort or w/e you want, plus now i have this huge 200 cobble-stone structure in front of my house that is useless because i cant harvest snow with water anymore...What else do i do to entertain myself now that all of this is gone? Go back to mining in the pitch black tunnels HOPING to find something but never finding anything? COOL. [editline]03:26PM[/editline] /Rant

Is Venn's server down? This deeply worries me because I was in the middle of a large project.

I'm emailing Notch about the snow update. I hate it.

Okay. So, on my snow level I made a while back I had a light house decked out with torches everywhere along with a gigantic Christian cross with torches on it so when I die in the mines and have to respawn It wont be so hard to find my way back. well I just discovered you can carry lava in buckets. so this is what I did. My base is on the coast so I went into the middle of the bay and started building straight up with cobblestone. (oh but before I melted the ice away near the tower so I could jump down in to the water and not die.) So I do that, I dump the lava and it starts to flow down. I jump but get caught in the lava that is flowing down the column. so I fuck up and fall and land on the ice and die. it was super easy to see my 2 lava towers I made but once I get back all my items are there EXCEPT my 4 buckets that feel into the lava and disintegrated. gaaah oh well I can venture off at night now and get home easier now.

I suggested seasons to notch. Every 30 days they change, and days are shorter and nights are longer during the winter. Sent it by itself cuz I wanted this to be included in the seecret update. Shouldn't be too hard to implement, he already has a counter of how many hours have passed in game.

My router was apparently closing its own ports again. All fixed.

Why the 8 snow balls max update is stupid: Because 8 snow balls are smaller than 64 blocks of stone that are 1 meter cubed.

I like the seasons idea but I reckon notch needs an 'control panel' where we can toggle stuff like day/night or snow/summer because it's pretty annoying having no control. Also roll back to the snow which didn't require shovels.
