Should I continue doing Minequest in blender, or should I start doing it in gmod? Gmod would allow for more precise control, but blender allows for much more OPEN control.
Blender seems to be much better
Does anyone know where the files for the downloadable Minecraft are stored? I'm using the .exe version.
Ok, I cannot understand blender. Is there some sort of mouse gesture thing? What?

I was, but I was inspired and crushed. I never go to bed unless I a bored and tired, sometimes hungry.

The just of Blender is keyboard shortcuts. Here's the list I kept while learning:
Shortcuts List:

** Ctrl+Tab: Change edit selection mode (vertices, edges, faces)
** Shift+Space: Fullscreen panel
Ctrl+Up: Alternate Fullscreen panel

Num1,3,7: Ortho views (front, top, etc.)
Num2,4,6,8: Rotate view
Ctrl+Num2,4,6,8:Pan view
Shift+C: Center target on object, then:
C: Center view on target
A: Select All/Deselect
B: Box Select
B+B: Circle Select
** Ctrl+Hold LMB: Draw lasso selection
D: Change draw mode (wireframe, opengl solid, etc.)
Z: Toggle wireframe mode (can't use Limit Selection to Visible with wireframe on)
** F: Create edge/face (needs 2-4 vertices selected)
Ctrl+LMB: Create Vertices (in edit mode)
W: Specials menu - subdivide, remove doubles, merge,
Alt+M: Merge vertices
R: Rotate
S: Scale
G: Translate
Z/X/Y: Constrain axis during transform
** X/Del: Remove Selected Face/Edge/Vertices

MMB: Alternate axis of extrusion while extruding
Ctrl+Space: Adjust 3D Transform Manipulator
F12: Start Render
Why is every single 3D modelling software so expensive? Does anyone know of one that ISN'T $3000?
And isn't Blender. I hate it.

If you do use Gmod,
DO NOT do it on Construct or Flatgrass

You can get student editions of autodesk stuff for cheap, they have all of the same features

Wings 3D and Milkshape come to mind. Blender's the closest to a professional solution though, without the insane price, as it's pretty powerful once you get over the learning curve.

Oh and this person has a raccoon suit. http://twitpic.com/25ci6b
Retoast.
- In the first version of SMP, you will not be able to fight enemies with each other, as monsters will be clientside.
sooo.. in smp, other players will just randomly freak out and start setting fire to everything arround them?
That sounds rather humorous.

Fored aa isnt on?
try restarting java; close the browser and open up your processes and kill java
worked for me
I've been hearing so much about Minecraft and how good it is so I decided to give the free version a go, after about an hour of wondering around and finally building something I've actually had a pretty nice experience. For such old graphics I'm amazed by how great it looks it's actually quite stunning especially as it's java based. The soundtrack is also quite nice and peaceful and really fits in with the environment. I've always been looking for such a peaceful game but haven't found one up until now.

Anyway, I just thought I'd give my opinion of it. After this I'm tempted to purchase it.

So i just watched the SMP sneak preview.
I think i orgasmed just a bit.
can anyone link me to the recorded notch livestream?
and did anyone keep chatlogs of the stream?
if so - can it be placed into OP for posterity?

Idk about chat logs but Chez kept a pretty detailed log about the key points Notch was making, including his preference of boxes or briefs.

It seems right now he's just coding stuff, though.
It's a place to start.
