That happened to me when I tried forcing AA.
Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Core2Quad Q9550 @2.8Ghz
4GB DDR2 RAM
Radeon HD 5870
Resolution: 1680x1050
I sometimes get 40FPS (which is still lower than it should be) and when I restart the race the framerate drops to 15-20. It's definitely Criterion Games' fault.
Bad optimization for the HD5870 it seems. I have pretty much the same (Q9550 and 6GB, and 2GB aren't going to make any difference in this game, it's not ArmA2), but a GTX480 instead and it never dips below 56 fps at 1920x1080.
Considering getting this for the 360. Worth it?
So after hours upon playing I finally get to this one race that starts off in a high way with police swarming you EVERYWHERE.
This is how the whole game should of been god damn it. I don't care about "race" and preview time trials.
Yeah it was CCC trying to force AA. Working now, and running very smoothly.

Been playing for a few hours and I love it. The controls are great and I feel really immersed in the game. Well worth the money, seeing as I'm about 10% through it.
My download is going at 11kB/s for whatever reason.
Is it too bugged at the moment, as I've seen people saying, so I shouldn't bother leaving my PC on for 6 days?
I haven't experienced and problems whatsoever.
[editline]20th November 2010[/editline]
I read that some people think online is shitty. I found that it worked well (no lag) and was very enjoyable. The only downside is that there is no communication.
Force AA in the Catalyst manager if you've got an ATi GPU, or the Nvidia Control Panel if you've got an Nvidia GPU.
I tried forcing it in the nvidia control panel, and it only made the jaggies worse for me :(

Totally. Have not seen any players flying all over the place like in NFS Online, but do wish there was some way to talk, whether it be voice or text...trying to formulate a plan as a cop chasing down racers online can be tough when you cant communicate...
The soundtrack for this game sucks. They could of put some decent drum and bass tracks what make you want to race in it.

I was in a Hot Pursuit last night as a cop chasing down racers...rammed one of them, crashed, and it respawned me just below the roadway and my car fell for a good long while before it put me back on the asphalt...
so I just played with NFSDevteam1 on the 360, was a pretty fun few games
First game was me(level 15 cop) and another guy(level 20 cop) against the dev and three other guys as racers (which we won)
second was the opposite, and we won
third we mixed it up, my team(racers) won
on the fourth we just drove around until the level 20 guy accidentally busted the dev trying to take a picture
and then finally we played around again until the dev had to leave
here's an excruciatingly small image of me(in the M3) with the dev(in the TT)

and of course the autolog image page
Wish they put the M5 in...
Wish they had Steam.
Wish they had AA.
Wish you could customize the cars...that is one thing I really miss from the last few games...I want to slap all sorts of hideous decals on my 911 Turbo and put purple rims on...

god, man, no customization ricer crap is what made this game GOOD. I don't want to see some Mclaren in purple with pink hubcaps and "SuPaGangstuh" written on the sides.

perhaps you didn't read the "returning to it's roots" part
hint: the old games didn't have this customisation BULLSHIT
[editline]21st November 2010[/editline]
speaking of the "roots", I do like the way that Seacrest County as a whole is essentially designed on the tracks from NFS3, High Stakes and a bit of HP2
[editline]21st November 2010[/editline]
esp. Boulder Desert (Redrock Ridge, Lost Canyon) and the mountains (Rocky Pass, Summit)
I might get this or Burnout Takedown off of XBL marketplace. I'm not sure which one.

This lorry pulled out at the speed of light whilst I was in first place (as you can see).

How is the multiplayer in this? I've been considering getting it, but I'm not sure if I should get it for the PC or 360, since my PC is a hunking piece of shit. But I don't have LIVE either, since I'm also cheap. :(
How is the cop AI as well? I don't want to play against them if they're retarded.
Has anyone seen the V12 Vantage?
Which class does it belong to?

Buy the game for the PC if you can since multiplayer is awesome.
Cop AI is nice they try to ram you, use their techs all the time. The game's really hard overall which I find great since there wasn't much of those on the market last months.

How about the police version?
How about the police version?
Whoops, it's in the third tiers for both sides.
