It should be sort of obvious that things won't spawn directly in your line of sight in a cave regardless of how many lights there are. Notch INCREASED mob spawns a few updates ago.

I didn't know that starting a fire/placing a torch scares evil mobs shitless. Seriously, they run away like crazy. Then calm down and come back. I totally didn't know this

The chairs as stairs don't work for me, they never go where I want them to. I lit my downstairs of the pub with red dust torches for a more secretive and underground feel.

I think I have found a huge cave, I have ran out after using 10 lots of 64 torches. Gotten hundreds of Iron ore and I need to go back to get more torches.

Awwright, finally found some diamonds in this mob-ridden cave network. No matter how many times I look into a pit of darkness, telling myself, 'Surely something is about to come out...' and something does, it always startles me. Fucking creepers marching in from pitch black is just creepy no matter what.
