Tell me if this is a good idea. Shields: [IMG]http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp176/LordPelf/KiteShield.png[/IMG] (icon is kite shield from runescape :suicide:) You would have an extra inventory slot by your armor slots for the shield. If you hold down a button like Shift or R you would hold your shield in front of you. It could block your view for as long as you are holding it up and it wouldn't take damage if you didn't have it held in front of you. You also wouldn't be able to attack with your sword while it is held in front of you. Example: You are charging a skeleton archer. It shoots at you but you hold up your shield. The shield would take damage from getting hit. You keep charging and the skeleton archer fires again. You are closer this time so you don't react quick enough put up your shield. You take damage like normal but the shield doesn't. *No skeleton archers were harmed in the making of this idea.

You should be able to ram stuff with your shield too, maybe you could use it to break down a door.

Especially how the sand falls as you try and escape. Would be cool if that could happen in the game. Maybe make it so that sand could have air pockets under it. Kind of like a natural disaster in a miniature scale.
