How do I make a boat?

I woke up in nick of time. The update came out, but I first opened minecraft to check if it was updated. I went to the minepedia update page, then to the blog and her i am. Only been 26 minutes now, when this will be posted.

Awesome moment #1. I was in a small room, and some creeepers were coming out of a hole in the wall. One blew up, hitting the other, which got closer to me. I was about to attack it when water started filling the room from the new hole in the ceiling. I missed, as the water confused me. Now I'm in the room, and the other creeper is nowhere to be seen...

Ok I need some help. When I try to play multiplayer, my game is acting like I'm running dualcore on a game meant for singlecore, and it's sped up like I'm a cheetah on crack. Is there anything that could be done about that?

Anyone know the fix for my problem? Whenever I try to play classic, it loads the survivaltest .jar, and this includes multiplayer. So whenever I try to play multiplayer, it's like I'm playing clientside survival. Any ideas?

Anyone else crashing when they try to load a save that worked before this mini-patch?

FINALLY Managed to get my docks done. It's basic right now, I'm going to add to it soon. [img]http://filesmelt.com/dl/javaw_2010-07-17_18-55-06-85.bmp[/img] As you can see, nothing impressive from the outside, definitely going to change things, not sure. This is the first major project I'm going to doing. So far, if you want to offer constructive criticism, that would be greatly appreciated for a noob like me.

Does anyone have a vid of a boat going down a waterslide or something? I'm considering building waterways instead of elevated subways with railroad tracks for surv MP. Would save me lots of iron.

Yes Yes i know about the speed thing. But i was going at max speed for a good 30 seconds and it didn't break.
