Im having HUUUUUGE issues with my UT3. It crashes all the time!!!! almost every champaing, almost every online battle. and only suspense wont make me crash.
YES I HAVE REINSTALLED
i got 2.0+ GHz dual-core processor, 2gig of system RAM, NVIDIA 7400
please help.
Whenever I launch the game it hangs at the splash screen and just sits there. It just sits at the splash screens and stops responding. I tried registering on the steam forums to ask for help but I can't make new threads, so I'm asking here. Anyone know what's up? :/
It's a pretty good game, but I only really enjoyed getting in the giant war-of-the-worlds-esque tripods (with added twin energy beams) and striding towards people scorching the ground and manically laughing.
That and using the weird spider/energy ball.. things.. which are awesome fun to kill people with while jumping around madly.

They are cool, but the spider globe things are just so much fun.
Yeah the download speed for this game sucks on Steam. I was downloading HAWX at 1.5mb/s and this is going at 0.13mb/s
Just a little warning: I'm pretty sure you can't get the multiplayer achievements(on steam) if you have custom skins
I'll probably get it at a later point in time, most likely when it's considered old. It looked pretty cool but I don't like the weapons, they're way too different from the more militaristic weapons from its predecessors.

Pretty much, I had a WH40K Space Marine skin and my achievement progress stopped counting.
I checked that website for skins, and there are like 9. What the hell, the modding community is almost nonexistent compared to 2k4...

People who modeled/skinned/etc for UT were mostly the hardcore crowd. UT3 came and those people left so that's why there isn't much mods around.

There is a mod called Snowreal, which as you could guess, is a snowboarding mod.

Do any of the patches add messages in the bottom left corner like in UT2004? The full version hasn't came and I've been playing the demo, that's the only feature from the older games that I miss.

I've never played 2k4, so what are these messages? Are they kinda like the Steam in game messages, and you can chat with people?
I haven't seen that in ut3, but I haven't played much since the update...
Best LAN game ever. I had a 16 person LAN party at my house during the summer.
Team CTF matches got so fucking intense.
