I feel sorry for the mods who have to read through our hundreds of applications.
I feel sorry for the mods who have to read through our hundreds of applications.
In the end, it benefits them, because more mods means less work per mod, so you really dont have to feel sorry.
alright I'm gonna apply you guys know me right
alright I'm gonna apply you guys know me right
Who are you again?
Who are you again?
Who a- Oh, hi, 8bitlord. [editline]03:00PM[/editline] I really hope we get some good moderators out of this. I suppose it's better than the modriddle. We all know how that went.
I submitted an application. Fun!
If you don't know what the job entails, you probably shouldn't apply.
I know what the job requires, but I would like to know what your standards are. Everyone has different ways to deal with things.
Hopefully we'll get some good mods out of this.
I personally think this system will be a bit better. Makes it less of a popularity contest.
app submitted
I personally think this system will be a bit better. Makes it less of a popularity contest.
Agreed 100% Also, woo. Application submitted. I know the forum I moderated isn't overly large, but I think it's fairly large. Large enough to count, I hope :tinfoil:
I submitted an application. I checked 'No' to the "Have you been a moderator to a large forum before?" because the forum I was a moderator on had less than 1,000 people on it. I also like this system better because it isn't a contest between popularity.
I personally think this system will be a bit better. Makes it less of a popularity contest.
eh there's something to be said for a popularity contest though, users that are well known in a certain section are generally the more active people doesn't specifically make them mod material but it worked out most of the time
My ban history is disgusting. I will never apply for moderator as a public service to Facepunch.
eh there's something to be said for a popularity contest though, users that are well known in a certain section are generally the more active people doesn't specifically make them mod material but it worked out most of the time
I don't think I've actively posted much since 08, but I'm on Facepunch everyday constantly, so I'm at least active in reading all the threads.
I'd apply but I'm scared I'd become a moderator, ain't got time for that stuff, you know.
I'd apply but I'm scared I'd become a moderator, ain't got time for that stuff, you know.
You will obviously be asked if you really do want to, before they make you one.
I'd apply but I'm scared I'd become a moderator, ain't got time for that stuff, you know.
Average of about 4 posts per day, why not? Unless you posted a whole bunch a long time ago, and only post once per day now.
I submitted an application. I checked 'No' to the "Have you been a moderator to a large forum before?" because the forum I was a moderator on had less than 1,000 people on it.
Should still have clicked 'Yes'. [editline]08:27PM[/editline] Reply to your own app stating that you have for a better chance.
Should still have clicked 'Yes'. [editline]08:27PM[/editline] Reply to your own app stating that you have for a better chance.
I clicked no yesterday, but stated in the app's "Tell about yourself" section that I had been a moderator on a small forum before which I thought wasn't large enough to click yes for. Should I make a reply that replies to all the questions regarding clicking yes (what you learned from it etc) or is that statement enough?
Applied, good luck to you other guys as I will probably not be chosen.

I said Yes to one where I was mod where there were ~800 users. Now it's 900+ but I'm not staff anymore. Resigned, and for other reasons. I didn't do anything bad. [editline]04:43PM[/editline] but yeah I'm hella active on Facepunch.
I've got an issue. After logging in and submitting my application, I keep getting logged out every 20 minutes or so on the FP
I've got an issue. After logging in and submitting my application, I keep getting logged out every 20 minutes or so on the FP
That cant possibly be related.
I applied but I ended writing 3 paragraphs about bullies and stuff, is that supposed to happen?

2 days until the moment of truth. Godspeed.
i applied yesterday but got permabanned, is that application still good for this account or should i reapply?
That cant possibly be related.
Any idea what could be causing the issue? It seems sort of impossible they both happened on the same day
