I used to play 6 hours a day when there was no weapon update... since then, it dropped dramatically to 1 hour a week or less.

Yeah, I still have respect for TF2 as game but the whole thing seems to have gotten a bit gimmicky and I cant really be bothered to play it.
Have several girls in my class who play mainstream games.
This one girl is really nice and cute and apperantly she is a hardcore Mass Effect fan (noticed she had ME2 on her school laptop).
The other girls play games like DA:O, Civilization, WoW etc.
Never expected that when I first got to know them :tinfoil:
I don't care, as long as i'm having fun i'm game for anything.

Since gaming has had a wider variety of games in the past decade. I'm not surprised. Older games tended to just follow the hardcore geeky trend but now games are becoming more and more interactive and are starting to differentiate from one another which means a wider audience. So yes more female gamers but the audience won't change and if so very little.
I met this girl who played TF2 and HL2 so I asked for her steam id. Turns out she played them on xbox and had no idea what steam was.
I don't really notice the sex of people in games nor do I care.
