nothing's easier than desperate nerds
Doesn't that make them desperate nerdy chicks?
They won't admit it though.
I think so. I know a girl that plays Portal and LBP, not too many girls that I know that play FPS games like TF2 or BC2 though.
Reminds me of the time my babysitter kicked my ass on mario cart SNES
I've met one girl in my entire life who actually plays games seriously. Every other "gamer girl" I've ever met is basically but with more bitching and attention whoring.
And complaining into the mic
lmao what an idiot [editline]24th April 2011[/editline] my banning machine broke though fucker edited at the same time i banned him so he edited OVER my ban somehow
come say that to my face tough guy
As far as I know and can remember, I've only actually ever played with one gamer girl. I knew it because she was talking on mic while we were playing TF2. The only special treatment she got was that I actively hunted down and killed her (quite easily), with satisfying results, as she often say my name and tell me to stop, which gave me a semi. [editline]25th April 2011[/editline] But she was cool though, she was in it for the TF2. And she was an okay sniper when I wasn't beating her senseless for the 10th time.
:v: I've actually never seen a girl being harrased on TF2. What I have seen is a bunch of jock homo jokes.
I've seen tons of girls while playing games online. On TF2, I've always found them on clan servers and people tend to suck up and act really nice towards them. On Halo, everyone always seems to yell for them to go back to the kitchen and make a sandwich.

Unless you know them in real life, that they play video games, then there's no way to be sure. Let's just say it out loud shall we, most (if not all) male players will automatically assume that the "other player(s)" is another male, and if that "other player" says (or rather pretends, in the view of a male player) that "he" is a "girl", then the first thing most male players will think about is that the player(s) in question is lying or joking at best, but that chances are that it's just a G.I.R.L. (I.E "Guy In Real Life) assuming to be a real-life girl playing a game. Another thing to consider is the following... Some real-life girls playing video games on-line (does not apply to off-line gaming, obviously) will simply not use a microphone (if that's available in the game they play) or even bother "proving" that she is indeed a girl, in fact some of them will "act" and type "like a guy would", and will even go as far as "pretending" to be a "guy"/man, which of course will automatically be considered "normal" and the truth by the males seeing it, and the girls doing that (most of them) are doing that to avoid being harassed by sexually-obsessed male teenagers who will most likely end up asking for pictures, because of course for them it's either "prove it" or it "didn't happen". Then again, any male players can search for some random amateur pictures of any teenage girls out there on the web and post it and then pretend that the girl in the picture "is me", any idiot kids (guys) will most likely believe it and then "fall for it" (in the case that a male pretends to be a girl by doing so that is). To me, there's no "real" statistics about it, since: 1) We don't know about them if they play off-line games and 2) We don't know if they are indeed real if they are on-line, and if they say they are we (men) usually believe it's a lie In the end, we don't know, and there's no viable way to know... and honestly, why should be care about it anyway?
The difference between how console and PC gamers react is eerie.
Because PC gamers generally want to be nicer to the girls because they have no chance of getting laid.

I've seen 2 girls online that I've been friends with, and I'm quite sure that both were American. One of them I met in my first year of GMod in a sandbox server (The Infamous House of Waffles, it's died out) going by Aileen. She was an abusive admin, but was fun to be with. The second I met when a RL friend and I hosted a L4D server, and then 2 randoms joined. One was the girl and another was a friend of hers. We played a fair few games together, it was pretty fun. I think the second was called Beth, and she was constantly having problems with her boyfriend and family since they thought she'd just screw him if he came over to her house. Good conversationist (hurr it's totally a word), but I lost contact with both of them. I think that Aileen is still on my friends list, but I haven't seen Beth for a fair while. Both of them were good friends, both I played a fair few games with, neither of them drew unnecessary attention to themselves and both I lost contact with.
