I played the Super Mario games for SNES and Super Mario Brothers for the N64 and I guess my PC games I grew up with were the classic [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SkiFree]SkiFree[/url] for Windows 98 and Jedi Dark Forces 2 and novalogic's Delta Force 2.
Super Mario Bros./F-Zero then Crash Bandicoot/Spyro.
Super Mario for SNES and Zelda: Link to the past.
And when medal of honor came out, it was the best game ever.

Oh God yes, x1000 Agrees, I wish CTR hadn't broken... That game was the shit... I also beat Spyro completely. Like, [i]everything[/i] done.
Back on topic, Pokemon was really the only game that I whored when I was really young. I never got into Red, Blue/Green or Yellow that much (I did play them quite a bit though), but I played my Gold to death. Quite literally. I have the dead cartridge still in my room.
I also played Gran Turismo 1 and 2, but really started playing them at GTR 3. GTR 4 was a huge disappointment, though, IMHO.
Being an old fart, my time was before consoles, I played Quake across modems growing up.

I grew up with Command & Conquer, Pokemon, HL1+mods (mostly firearms+svencoop) and BF1942+mods (pretty much all of them. Like BFpirates, Interstate '82, Forgotten Hope, BG42 and stunt mods).

Those were my favorite mods for Battlefield 1942, but they were very unpopular so it was super hard to find a populated server...
