I never owned a Sega Genesis nor a Master System until much later when they were already being replaced or were long gone and discontinued (although I really liked the Megadrive when I finally got my hands on one, a brand new one too from a local store back in late 1995 I believe). The "main" game is of course Mario Brothers, the original on the NES, that one was my bread and water during many months, if not more than a year, until I got my SNES and Mario World (and in between of course I owned, played and loved SMB2, SMB3, etc., basically all the games shown here, and many more).

Damn along time ago. I would have to say the game Road Rash for the Sega Genesis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_Rash that was my first. but through the 90's. Super Mario Bros for SNES. Various Sonic games on the Genesis. Moved to N64 around 1999(Blew my mind back then)got James Bond Goldeye, Twisted edge, Banjo Kazooie, and Super Mario 64. along with about 30 other games.
Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and NFS4. Awesomeness beyond limits. I have been waiting so long for NFS4 to release on PSN...
Super Mario World from the SNES was my first very own game. Later I played Monkey Island and Sim City on the 66 MHz PC.
Pokemon (Retro Pocket monsters FTW.) Metal Gear Solid, Sonic, Mario, Grand Theft Auto (Explains why i'm used to gore now.), Tekken, Ape Escape, Tomb Raider, Halo and a bunch of others. I was the gaming kid!
The game I remember the most from my childhood would have to be tombi. On of the very first games I ever bothered finishing. The game-play itself was a free roaming side scroller with puzzle and problem solving elements. The world was huge and there was always places you could only get to after acquiring certain items elsewhere.I dug it out a few months back just for nostalgia...Quite a shame that no one I know has ever played it besides me.
Doom.
[insert classic well renowned game from N64 era here] Pretty much.
I always used to hate the end of a level when the guy would laugh in your face and steal your power ups.
Super Mario Bros 3/Super Mario World/Super Smash Bros.
The halo series and the splinter cell series somewhat. But now I play CSS and the Orange box

I was always stuck playing a demo of it (my parents thought "one" game was enough a year back then). I would love to play it again though
Pokémon, the Spyro games and the Oddworld games. Oh yeah and the Medievil games, Road Rash and Broken Sword.
Sonic the Hedgehog, Command and Conquer and Tribes 2(Construction Mod)
