I chose the wrong words I guess, I ment unrealistic. In real life self-propelled artillery vehicles where used to provide artillery support, bombarding emplacements and fortified areas so tank forces could break trough enemy lines.
In this game however they are basically snipertanks that fire AP shells from halfway across the map to one hit kill you. A bit weird imo, but still a fun game. :smile:
Well of course they need some kinda sniping system in the game. Remember they want to appease the masses. :smile: :suicide:

Question to those that have played it: Do the damage calculations take into account armour thickness, angle, calibre and muzzlespeed?
Got it to work. I got an "official" beta key, directly, I wrote down an application etc. Downloading right now.

Yes. Rounds bounce, and you don't take that much damage if it barely penetrates or if it glances you.

Doubt it calculates angles and slopes though. All tanks do have weak spots (ammo storage, fuel tanks etc). You can upgrade tanks with different caliber guns, better armor etc. In the end it's still a fairly simple arcade game where your tank has a health bar and the biggest gun does the most damage. Doesn't take away the fact that it's good fun.
I just upgraded my PanzerJager 1 with a 50mm gun, pretty damn good compared to the standard gun it had.

I have the same problem.
wow great i cant kill anything because the enemies have heavy tanks and stuff and i have some russian tank that looks like it'll fall apart if i hit a big enough bump

Most people still drive around in that thing or the newbie german version. If you upgrade the gun and engine you have a decent tank to start with. It doesn't cost any money to repair or reload with ammo either, so you can easily farm your way to the next tank pretty fast. It only took me about 10 rounds.
I love tanks and i love the setting. But god damn why a mmo. I hate the "Oh hai i can kill you in 3 shots no matter where i hit you because i am level 200".

This game is very fun.

On average I get 5k a round.
Just killed 6 in one round and got 5k for that.
