The game will be free, but there will be things such as premium tanks.
Though they said that the premium tanks won't be stronger (or at least, not by much) than what you can get normally.

Likely they give out gold daily so that betatesters can test all the functionalities of the game, including the content that will be paid/premium when the game releases for real.
That also means that unless they do an account wipe, when the game is released all the Beta Testers are going to be nigh invulnerable.

There's no community features as of yet. No clans, no way to play with your friends, only random queue.

Well its just a mix up of Russian and German tanks. Teams are randomly mixed, there is no Germany vs Russia kind of thing. There's also some random UK/USA tanks, but they are premium only which means they cost money to play.
My MS-1 crew just got elite status :v:

I think it was 4, Germany, British, USA and Russia. I have no idea if they are all in the beta though.
