Flak 88 is an AA gun. However, it was found to be a great Anti-Armor weapon as well.

They weren't called Flak 88, but Flak 18, 36, 37 and 41. 88 is the size width of the barrel in mm.

Oh shit I totally spaced that part...There's even a Flak 88 in Company of Heroes, which I play fairly often, my bad.
I suddenly realized how overpowered artillery was.
Artillery can be a real drag sometimes. :/

Technically Tank Destroyers (at least the german ones ingame) are SPG's too.
Why SPG and not a Tank? Because they don't have rotating turrets.

man it sucks having to farm experience with a Marder II. The unupgraded Marder is absolutely horrible compared to all the other tanks you face in random battles.

Tried it. Same problem, gets to 49% then tells me to check internet connection and stops downloading.

They're not there to steal kills. They're there for protection. That's what I did as a newb aswell, go with the better tanks so I'd have higher chances of survival. Not kill stealing, you should be happy that the enemies get killed as fast as possible instead of worrying of your own score. In that single second that an enemy tank is alive, it may very well pop a nasty shot at you, so be glad that someone takes it out ASAP.

They are doing what works best for the new tanks. When I had one I did the same. I hate it when people don't do that and just charge in with their crap tanks that will just die instantly.
Ok I've calmed down.
Game is pretty fun. I hate artillery though.
