One small thing that I like is windowed mode with no border. I only know of a few games that have this, more should.

wow i got a very high expectation.
1. Freeplay after the main quests are over
2. Good AI
3. Working cheat codes
4. Easy to understand, yet in-def story
5. Bug-free
6. Lots of side quests with easy to understand stories with them
Most of these answers make me like "What the fuck."
Diversity. Gets fucking boring when you clear a guard post in Far Cry 2 only to come back 5 minutes later to see the same 10 guys walking around again without so much as a scratch.
Coop, good story, first gameplay then graphics, editor and mod tools.
