you realize the odds of that happening? plus, why would you have a wooden house, anyone who actually wants to play the game efficiently knows having a wooden house is stupid and costly, you only make wooden houses once you are rich.
Lightning can strike the side of your house, and make it so the fire won't be put out by the rain. Having it strike just as the rain stops could happen, even though it's unlikely. Knowing most people's luck, it'll happen.

I once accidentally started a forest fire that would have been huge and it started raining exactly then.
Cobblestone's an infinite resource too.
Lava flow + Water.
I have a distinct way of building my houses. Corners + top row of blocks are always Oak tree blocks, the walls are always alternating rows of cobblestone/planks, and my floors are always sandstone :v:

I also have a thing for brick fireplaces and doormats made of brown wool :v:
i have seen rain like 3 times (it doesnt rain on ANY sand. not just desert biomes. so beaches dont get rain.). but no snow. probably because i dont hang out in snow biomes.
i hope someone makes a mod that disables enemy mobs spawning during rain, and makes rain and snow a lot more common.
Your beach must be in a desert because it rained perfectly fine on my beach.

I haven't seen any weather effect so far....:frown:
I haven't seen any weather effect so far....:frown:
I went through about 5 different rainstorms while going down the 1km track I made to get the On A Rail achievement. When it rains, the weather doesn't occur everywhere, just in a limited area. I think. Maybe I passed through a desert a few times so it just seemed like different storms.

Cobblestone.
Have water flow into flowing lava, and then you have infinite cobblestone.
Cobblestone.

Also lava isn't infinite.
Maybe the Nether, but I guess you can run dry of lava too in there...
Also lava isn't infinite.
Also lava isn't infinite.

Cobblestone is formed by the connection of a lava and water stream, not source, which are infinite unless you destroy all your source blocks in your entire world.
Then again, the map is almost infinite anyway, so you're never gonna run out of stone.

Pine logs make for good looking buildings
I love how half wood blocks when stacked look exactly like regular wood, but are fireproof. Makes wood as a primary resource easy.
I love how you can still hear rain and thunder when your underground by less than 3 blocks or in a box as if you were outside.

I always find that they're too dark, that's why i prefer oak logs :v:
potentially 8*surface-of-the-earth =/= infinity :colbert:
Oh would people fucking stop with this bullshit? It's EIGHT TIMES THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH! It would be IMPOSSIBLE for someone to walk that far in a human lifetime. I'd say thats enough to qualify as infinite in casual use.

I know that, but you said it was "almost infinite". Problem is, nothing is, or can be, "almost" infinite.

Quite frankly, you made an honest mistake, and I'm just being a nitpicky son of a fuck. End of story.
but, since Willerin over here kept the ball rolling, by all means, let's continue the mudslinging until one of us drops dead :downsbravo:

Almost infinite as in it's practically infinite, you're never gonna explore the entire map.
Almost infinite as in it's practically infinite, you're never gonna explore the entire map.
practically infinite, now that's something else. Glad we got that straightened out, now for the love of god, let's end this :byodood:
