No, that and the power attacks/bow string pull, and pistons are not in yet.
Theres not much of achievements, kinda dissapointing
i had the same thought i hate how you have to get achievements to unlock other ones
Using a texture pack and setting graphics to fast fixes the block issue.
Oh, if you're in a chest you can hold shift and click a item to bring it out like.. instantly
The game runs so much better now. I am currently getting 400+ FPS with my machine and no choppy game play.
About time my overpowered i7 machine could handle Minecraft.
In other news, you can't place stuff directly on snow. You have to shovel the snow first.
I kinda like this. It's realistic.

How sure are you of that, Because apparently, The FPS counter is showing chunk updates, and not FPS...According to minecraft wiki.

Chunk updates factor into the FPS. There's significantly less lag now during generation.

There are more blocks, so the block images in terrain.png has moved.

You might not be in an actual snow biome, just in an area where snow spawned.
