The fact that booster and detector tracks don't bend can be used for several things like junctions.

It doesn't actually add flight, but it allows additional checking for players that are using flight mods on your server. With the option disabled, they'll be kicked.

They appear to accelerate a cart to it's maximum speed when it goes straight, but looses speed when turning so you will need to place them at regular intervals.
You get 6 per craft, and you can place several along for a further boost.

I think distance flown might be the same as distance fallen, except while in a vehicle instead of on foot? I have 20 seconds of distance flown and the achievment for riding a pig of a cliff says " Fly a pig off a cliff "

Is it just me, or are non-16x texture packs supported by default now? Freshly downloaded minecraft.jar, and my dokucraft (32x) pack works straight away, except the water/lava is "USE THE PATCHER NOOB" which I must fix at some point.

It seems that going to sleep forces the rain to stop in the morning. I wish it didn't.

That's because he's standing right at the part where the biome changes from snowy to forest, and so it has both snow and rain.
Boosters aren't as powerful as I had hoped. Also, empty carts don't go nearly as far as ones loaded with a player.

Well it probably was always valuable because I bet there are servers that use gold as a currency in shops or something.
I really want to experience rain and thunder, and then turn up my fog. It gives it a certain feeling. It's sort of post-apocalyptic, but it's mainly the feeling of being completely alone but in an interesting way.
