Borderlands: Is it really a good game? - Games

Good for like 2 weeks. Then it got boring as all hell.

A very large number of guns =/= replayability One of Borderlands' main selling points was the fact that it had loads of guns to shoot at things, and there are lots of guns, but going around collecting them isn't as fun as it sounds, and they don't really differ as much as the game tries to show off. It's mostly just this-one-fires-faster-than-this-one, or this-gun-shoots-fireballs-and-this-one-doesn't. When it boils down to it, the game really doesn't have much to go on in the way of playing it for extended periods of time.

borderlands is definitely worth a rent even for single player people always say it's great with coop and shit but personally I didn't like it, I loved the single player up until the ending it will leave you feeling unsatisfied, but I def recommend a rent, it's worth it and you can play through it pretty quickly

Seriously just get Diablo II and the expansion. Pretty much the same gameplay, only executed better. Oh, and if you ever want to play online, Battle.net is actually really awesome in my experience. I found the singleplayer really fun for some reason and still play it on a laptop whenever I go on long trips (as the laptop I use is kinda old and can't even handle Half-Life 2). Like everyone else has said, Borderlands is only good if you have the third DLC and have friends to play with. Singleplayer Borderlands will last you max a week, then you will probably never play it ever again.

on the topic of wargames: you should get operation flashpoint 2 dragon rising it is great for people like you and me who dont have live (see: HUGE) and it is very replayable

Eh, I recommend Borderlands, but that's because I like the grinding, because, in essence, all it is is a singleplayer (multiplayer, too, I suppose) FPSRPG, and the main focus is grinding levels.

I played it once, but for me reply value was zero on single player... Multiplayer's alright thought :smile:

Multiplayer with friends cant be that much fun there is little to do in this game.

Boss fights are piss easy, though. I beat Sledge with some normal SMG I picked up at the start of the game. I was so excited to be advancing into new territory and beating one of the major bosses, thinking it was going to be a huge challenge. I brought shotguns, SMGs, huge amounts of health, everything. Then I sent his ass to the floor with two magazines.

The game is epic. The game is really good with friends and single player you really have to push though Firestone to enjoy the game

I do not recommend this game. It is fun as hell with friends when going through your first playthrough, but afterward it just gets repetitive. The most I would spend on that shit game $10.

It was pretty fun at first, me and my brother kicking arse and whatnot, but the graphics (Atleast for me personally) began to really grind. I don't know why but I ended up hating them. Something about the painted style, the desolate desert and the slow western theme just felt really depressing.
