• Borderlands: Is it really a good game?

I think the style would look more awesome if the environments varied. Its pretty much either junk or sand, neither of which really looks nice. Hopefully Borderlands 2 has some cooler areas. The same thing happened to Killzone 2. The environments, although nice graphically, just started to depress me to the point that I didn't really want to play because of how dreary they were.
Many people say it gets boring alone, it really depends wether you can jump on this Diablo-like loot searching thing. And making own weapons is fun for 18 minutes. For me it was 40 hours of fun. [editline]02:23PM[/editline] Oh and at wargames go for arma 2 or op arrowhead.
Seriously just get Diablo II and the expansion. Pretty much the same gameplay, only executed better. Oh, and if you ever want to play online, Battle.net is actually really awesome in my experience. I found the singleplayer really fun for some reason and still play it on a laptop whenever I go on long trips (as the laptop I use is kinda old and can't even handle Half-Life 2). Like everyone else has said, Borderlands is only good if you have the third DLC and have friends to play with. Singleplayer Borderlands will last you max a week, then you will probably never play it ever again.
Not particularly relevant to the thread but Diablo II is nothing like Borderlands with the exception of having loot and health bars. Oh and weapons. OP Don't get Borderlands, it's incredibly repetitive with a dissatisfying ending and bland gameplay. Like was said, get Diablo II and the expansion, you can probably get the combo pack for cheaper then Borderlands and I can promise you won't complete the storyline and then never play it again.

And: Borderlands 2? Has it been announced or is it a prediction? Funnily enough I recently found a really old copy of pcgamer, and in it was a prerelease screenshot of borderlands before it donned the hand drawn style. It looked far better.
on the topic of wargames: you should get operation flashpoint 2 dragon rising it is great for people like you and me who dont have live (see: HUGE) and it is very replayable
Let's post things that have nothing to do with the thread! Yeah! Borderlands got boring too fast.

The game is really repetitive after a while.
I would buy it again just for the humour.
