because it is a pretty damn stupid way to use a rifle? Instead of trying to show how "0mG so Pr0" you are, actually pick up an automatic weapon, aim, and kill people? Seeing as you are going to be in their faces to quick/no-scope anyway, why not actually have a chance of hitting someone?

Exploit. It's pretty much noscoping, but you go into the scope for .003 seconds to get the pin-point accuracy of being scoped in.
modern warfare and dumb kids that want to be ~pro gamers~ are cancer. people take a glitch in a game engine and exploit it to their advantage and then call themselves pro because they can execute something that gives them an unfair advantage over most players. they, of course, berate people unable to pull it off or people that criticize them because 'i'm pro' or 'it's in the game it means i can do it'. if the skill isn't applicable to other games (unless the skill is specific to a feature in that game), it's not skill. you're just a faggot that takes advantage of a glitch.
i'm damn good at knife fighting in first person shooters. i don't take advantage of some sort of gun switching glitch, i just fucking stab them. i guess that makes me pro, but does it really? it just makes me better at one small aspect of a game.

I do the same thing, minus the quickscoping. Try playing search with a whole bunch of friends, and right before the game begins, say to the other team "Oh, yeah. Forgot to mention; we're all going to be camping in the back with the bomb. So, if you want absolutely ANY points besides the default game points, come find us." Make a giant shell of riot shields around the guy with the bomb, and see what happens. Most people semtex, but we tried it with blast shields once and it was beautiful.
Quickscoping is when you knife someone without reloading.

bullshit excuse by people that do it. not all weapons are on an equal playing field, which is why you pull out your secondary weapon when you encounter a situation where your primary won't be effective
in BF2 when i'm sniping and someone gets too close, do i try to shoot them with a sniper rifle? no i just pull out my pistol and shoot them in the dick, because sniper rifles aren't effective close range.
I hate when people say that quick-scoping and no-scoping is luck, back in my CoD4 days I knew dudes that made montages and could pull off those shots with 99% accuracy.

I don't quickscope much. Do you have MW2? If you do, try using the FAMAS for a while. I find it much superior to any Sniper Rifle in the game, at all ranges.

I love the FAMAS, that and the FAL is pretty much all I used

Anyhoo QuickScoping is the new NoScoping. That doesn't mean it isn't a bullshit way of playing.
