Anyone else thinking about quitting when Cata comes out? - Games

It's safer to take 6.5k GS people with the 25 hardmode achieve than it is to take 4k GS people who say they have raided since vanilla. People who say "GS doesn't matter, achieves don't matter" are most likely the same people that have shitty gear and can't get any hardmodes down.

But I dont have time to do that.. When people ask me for gs and achi for toc10 or icc10 .. that's just silly. I did naxx in vanilla, I think I can handle toc10, lol. If you really gotta know how well a person is gonna do in icc25 hc, I'd inspect him. Check his GEAR not his gearSCORE, and then check his dps on the dummys. Why is it silly when they ask you for an achieve? Idiots who don't have the achieve are the ones who get trampled by icehowl, don't DPS the adds, die from unleashed light/dark, and get hit by anub, among other things. It is blizzards own words about the "epics should of been white because they are common" I could find the thread for you, if you're so hard headed. But for people like me who have raided for 6 years, achiv is not needed. The raid mechanics of the game are very simple, and very easy to figure out. All that is needed is a brain to figure out what to do, or the person can take 5 minutes to read up on the tactics before entering the raid. Yeah no, it's easy, but it's not that easy. If you know nothing about the encounter, you maybe not know what to do, or figure it out fast enough. You can't one shot encounters with 25 people trying to figure it out.

But toc, I figured out about that explosive debuff right away, I read what the debuff did, then I ran over to people with the poison. It's easy!

Maybe, maybe, you got lucky, not everyone can figure it out extremely easy.

Since this has pretty much turned into a "WoW is too casual" argument, I'll put in my 2 cents. One thing I hated was that new players could skip most of the endgame content. I joined WoW back in January, a little while after ICC came out. By time I got to level 80, people stopped running old content. I pretty much ran heroics only, and ToC maybe 2 times before I started ICC (Heroic 10 man ICC, because my guild was just starting heroic at the time). I only stepped into Uldar, Naxx, ect only because of weeklys, and that was only for a boss or two. I pretty much skipped 4 and a half years worth of content, along with everything I didn't do for BC and vanilla. Sure, I could go back and complete them, but what would be the point, other then a few achievement points? I'm already in full ICC 10H gear, pretty much nothing there would be worth my time. Just the fact that any level 80 could run a day's worth of heroics and be ready for ICC makes the game way too easy.
