Is anyone getting a "weird" feeling when playing now after the recent patch? I think it's because they changed the aim a bit.
Is anyone getting a "weird" feeling when playing now after the recent patch? I think it's because they changed the aim a bit.
Yep. The feeling where you just can't quite look at a game and you have to squint your eyes while playing it. I hope there's a lot more people who get this feeling and not just me.
Meh, i guess i'm going to have to wait for the official release and see how things go. BF:1943 is going to be 15 bucks too so i might buy that instead.
The Trapper fix is awesome. Love her now. :)
I'm thinking about trying the beta, how do you think it'll run? Also, can this be run in windowed mode now in the beta? Will you be able to after release? 1920x1080 geforce 9500 (my 8800 is borked) Intel Core 2 Quad (6600) @ 2.4ghz 3 gigs of ram
You can run it in windowed mode but it involves some extra work, I'll try to find the thread about it. [editline]07:26PM[/editline] http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1196812.html
Just bought this recently and played the beta. Pretty enjoyable. But why are there only 1-2 servers with 2-4 players? I haven't played in a full server at all. Hopefully when it's released I'll be able to and play through the other gamemodes.

Just bought the game, downloading it now :D Also, question: Will the full version have a campaign? Pretty cool game, lagged a bit because I couldn't lower my video settings and the aiming doesn't reduce sensitivity so it was a little hard to aim but other then that it's a good game.

I had BF1943 the day it released on the PS3 and played it maybe 4 hours total because it just gets old with only 3 classes/very few maps and they haven't really shown any sign of life in doing anything to it from now on. It got stale very fast. This game is something different but it's fun if you're into this kind of game, and I've put around 7 hours into Beta alone.
Looks like this game has some potential, worth at least trying for that price.
Bumping this because Lead and Gold just got a big update. I can't find the patch notes but one of the major things is graphic options are now changeable!

It was the release patch:
Patch 1.0 release notes • Changed setting folder to LAG. • Included user manual, can be found in the install directory of the game (\Steam\steamapps\common\lead and gold gangs of the wild west\install). • Fix for mouse issues with NVidia 8800 gfx cards that caused the client to crash • Fixed broken Achievement (Force Multiplier). • Tweaked down headshot multiplier for buffalo rifle. • Fix for scoreboard overlapping. • Fixed exaggerated bloom in dark environments. • Tweaked Lead Pusher, Eagle Eye and Quickshot achievements. • Fixed crashes for killstreak and multikill awards. • Reduced spread opacity and tweaked charge time for Buffalo rifle. • Fixed achievements bugs. Playing in a private game would render it impossible to get the achievements in a public game and starting a game as a server via quick-match meant that you (being server) could never get any achievements • Added new Render settings to Render Quality (High enables ssao. Settings for DoF and Bloom are planned for next patch) • Reverted achievements. All achievement requirements are now back to normal. • Fix for some C++ crashes. • Fix for crashes in the lobby browser. • Upgraded all shaders to increase performance. • Fix for crash when leaving created lobbies with right mouse button. • Fixed issues with team list in loading screen when hotjoining and improved ping value in server list. • Fix for issues with revive icon and tag icon.
Trapper is terrible now. :(

I pre-ordered and I've been playing the beta for a few hours. It's a pretty fun game, and I would think a game this quality would be more expensive, but I'm not complaining. The graphics are good, the game play is good, and the people playing are pretty good (most of the time). I recommend this game.
It really is. I'd gladly pay for Downloadable Content for the game as long as it's decent. It's hard not to be decent though if they release 3 or 4 maps/gamemodes like the curernt ones.
How many players in coop
How many players in coop
Only 1-2 for now
Seen this post on the official forums, seems like we might get some crazy DLC at some point. Edit: don't worry I won't link you http://forums.leadandgold.com/showthread.php?tid=836
Just bought the game on steam, this look pretty fancy. E: Heck yeah, this game is awesome! Worth its price in gold. 13€ is a bargain. The only thing that buggers me is that goddamn OP shotty wielding blaster
They should make a demo, looks pretty cool.
They should make a demo, looks pretty cool.
Really no company needs to invest resources into a demo for a $15 game. Watch some videos, look at screenshots, read reviews. It's a great game and almost everyone that has played it is agreeing other than dedicated servers not being finished, then it will be perfect.
I checked the forums some more, the game will release for PSN on the 22nd of April. Apparently the company is also talking about making a retail copy available for anybody who cannot purchase games using steam (It will still be played using steam though)

I think the damage of all guns other than the shotty is pretty low.
Some map talk from the forum: Fort Turnbull: Devs are looking into adding a day version of Fort Turnbull in addition to the existing night based map. Sinner's Gulch: Because a lot of people miss the old Sinner's Gulch before the recent patch, the devs are looking into having 2 versions of the map available. One will be the pre-patch happy atmosphere and one will be the post-patch gloomy atmosphere.
I have a choice between this and any other game that costs 13,99 euros, what should i get? I do mind, ANY game.
It's quite good and different from most other shooters. The pace is different because your guns aren't full auto.
