I actually agree with starcraft 2 being nr1. But everything else is fucking retarded.
It's like they typed 'PC Games' on google and just took each random game they found and put it into that list.
I believe that Starcraft 2 should definitely be up there but I don't think it should be number 1.

All the games mentioned deserve their own special place in gaming history, however, the only thing that I can (barely) agree with is Mass Effect 2 at #5. I'd probably put it higher, but that's just me.
Any top PC games list that does not include Half Life 2, means nothing to me.
Also, Starcraft II as #1? I have a group of about 20 friends that all bought SCII... none of them talked about it, played it or even cared about about 2 months after release..
Question is though... what would you all put in the #1 spot if you made the list?

I bought SC2, played about 20 hours and got bored. After playing Dawn of War and the Total War series, there isn't much that can compare and SC2 just didn't cut it.
As for my top game... either Starsiege: Tribes or Thief: The Dark Project. Both were extremely innovative titles that set virtually all modern standards in their respective genres.

Actually on topic, I literally said, "what?" when I read Bejeweled 3 had gotten onto the list. As number 8, no less! It doesn't have characters. It doesn't have a plot. It doesn't have anything of merit. The most these people could say in defense was, "at least it's addicting!" But Meth is also addicting. Does that mean it is suddenly nutritious and should be put above things such as bananas, grapes, or apple pies?
All the other games can be put down to simple opinions. Some people like a game, some people love it, and some think it's the most horrible excuse for a game since painting a fence. However, the fact that Bejeweled is not only on this list and in the top ten when it literally has no artistic merit is simply despicable. I fail to see how it pushed the industry forward in any way. The most you could say is that it has sold well, and to keep up the drug analogy, I'm sure Meth has sold well, too.
Sure, it's a fun game. I've spent a few hours playing the first Bejeweled myself. Was I entertained for a few hours? Yes! But did I walk away with anything resembling an actual benefit? That would have to be a resounding no.
I consider it an insult to all the other developers whose games are below Bejeweled 3. Especially on a list entitled "The 30 Best PC Games," its presence here simply proves the ignorance of the writer. I fail to see how it ever furthered the PC gaming industry. If anything, it proves that people will pay for a game that is literally just a collection of brightly colored explosions, arbitrary numbers, and a timer. It's not a bad game. It just doesn't deserve to be on this list. I realize that the list is just an opinion of Mr. Wilson, but it is an incredibly misinformed opinion.

I love Starcraft 2, it is amazing, I play it almost every single day, it is fun to talk about it with friends and it is incredibly fun. (though a lot of facepunch users seem to give it a lot of hate for whatever reason)
Even though most of you think that this list is really silly, you can't really say that the list is wrong, since it is all personal opinion.

Call of duty black ops as number 3? At least all the other call of duty games had a good story, that one was just a collaberation of random shit. Hey here is the campagn for black ops 2 - Us marines to to antarctica and fight soviets, who then get attacked by nazis in space ships. Then the nazis build a berlin wall and a man gets shot with a machete.
Bulletstorm was short as fuck and not hugely memorable
Arkham asylam was ok for a while, then it got poring because of the fucking T rating (Cmon I pretty much just exploded you skull, and your unconsious?!)

Borderlands - I understand that they were going for a new kind of art style, but its not effecting when your eyes bleed after playing for 10 minutes. And thanks for virtually no storyline...
