I joined, I've figured out how to get it started PROPERLY and fly smoothly, also to target and fire at targets again.
Where's that video of the guy that one of his rotors broke off and the thing was stuttering to all hell.
Where's that video of the guy that one of his rotors broke off and the thing was stuttering to all hell.
Heh, that just happened to me. I was landing, but i landed too fast, front tires popped, jerked to the left, rotors hit and my cockpit just spasm'd all to hell. I was alright though.
Is anybody gonna buy it?
I'd buy it if the DRM wasn't so restricting.
I'd buy it if the DRM wasn't so restricting.
what? [editline]07:10PM[/editline] I would also like to note this game is available on steam. [editline]07:10PM[/editline] http://store.steampowered.com/app/61000/
DCS is also making an A-10 game like this as well, which is the one I'll be playing
Are there any videos of that game, the A-10 is my favorite aircraft.
Wait, so this is a game about one vehicle?
there a10 sim should be out soon iirc its like arma oa if you have both then it will turn into a combined ops, also i believe they have another planed after the a-10 sim. there justification for doing it this way is so they can make each vehicle super realistic (see long startup video)
Are there any videos of that game, the A-10 is my favorite aircraft.
I found a 8 minute long video on how to start the A-10 Looks very pretty.
i never got around to getting this, can you use a 360 pad? i always found that easiest in arma2 dont know if the same will apply here also my joystick has to be recalibrated every time i connect it
DCS is getting more modules later.
Does anybody find that after taking off, the Shark seems to want to pull up like crazy?
Does anybody find that after taking off, the Shark seems to want to pull up like crazy?
Are you using the autopilots? I find that right after take off, it wants to go nose up, but i always just trim it a hair forward. After that the rest of the flight is easy, All i need to to do level out is just bring the stick to center. Its a simulator not an arcade type game, although there are difficulty settings that allow it to be played more like an arcade game. But i wouldn't bother getting this if the simulation part of the game doesn't interest you.
360 pad is better than a keyboard.

I guess while I'm doing the start up procedure, I'll click the trim button somewhere in the 70 steps.

Voila, its as if you were pushing the stick forward. To undo all trim, its like Lctrl+t or LAlt+t.

I use the holding trim until you have the aircraft pointing where you want it method, getting it all lined up for targets and hover is a damn sight easier.

The joystick i have is kinda hard to move smoothly.
Track IR is just for moving the camera around.
40 $. Of course.
Its worth it if you like simulators. But anyway, I can't seem to kill more than a few things in any mission. Something always goes wrong.
Its worth it if you like simulators. But anyway, I can't seem to kill more than a few things in any mission. Something always goes wrong.
You are just unlucky or you do something wrong.
Its worth it if you like simulators. But anyway, I can't seem to kill more than a few things in any mission. Something always goes wrong.
Avoid AA at all costs. I have been shot numerous times with ZU-23 when wandering too close to them. And before moving in make sure there ain't no Missile launcher AAs nearby, as the missile will nicely fuck up your plans or make you strafe like a crazy. Also avoid hovering near tanks.
Its worth it if you like simulators. But anyway, I can't seem to kill more than a few things in any mission. Something always goes wrong.
I like to sit just below the crest of a mountain with the enemy on the other side. What i do is, pop of just a bit, wait for someone to shoot, then drop down to safety. I take note of where the missle/gunshots came from, then point the Shkval in that area.I Inch back up and hopefully get a lock before they begin firing, and destroy them, usually with guns.
Yea, by something going wrong I either mean AA or surprise rudder failure while trying to dodge a missile. Like my last mission, I stopped the enemy advance on the ground by annihilating their tank force, shooting down 2 hinds, and destroying all their AA. I move in to attack the very last tank, with my last vikars missile. I lock on, tilt my nose forward to achieve firing authorization, when my wingmate tells me a SAM has shot at 2 o' clock. I deploy countermeasures, but I still get hit. I eject, my chopper crashes, and in the after action report, apparently a Georgian infantryman with an AA missile launcher snuck up under me, and shot me down. On another note, my character is not invulnerable, so if I die in the campaign, I lose that pilot. I've flown 10 missions, 0 landings :v: Anyway, does anybody get a feeling of extreme accomplishment when they shoot down another helicopter, or even a plane. I felt so good when I shot down a Georgian Su-25 bomber. Two more things: 1. When I have Auto Move to Target de-activated, my chopper seems to want to do rudder turns a lot when the rudder isn't being moved, as in, it always turns in one direction all the time when auto move to target isn't on. 2. How does one complete campaign missions? I've once killed all the enemies, but I have no clue how to complete objectives, and therefore, the mission.
Quick question, not for DCS but for LOFC. In flaming cliffs, 2.0. Is it stand alone or not? When I google it all I get is torrent results for people who are to fail to purchase it. I think DCS is awesome, its great. Also uber, 10 mission 0 landings? :v: indeed :v: indeed.
If any of you guys play DCS Black Shark or want to get into it feel free to join my ventrilo with my buddies and I. We'll be able to help you if you don't know much and if you do know much then we have a custom map for you and a few enemies to kill each other. IL1.LeetVent.com 3892

The installer checks that if you have LOMAC or Flaming Cliffs installed, and then lets you install the FC2. (Some law stuff or something like that forcing it to be done that way) It would have been standalone without that. So you need FC or LOMAC to install the FC2, but not to use the FC2.
so, if there's all these switches and shit to start the aircraft up, does that mean you need to have a key assigned to every switch? Or can you use the mouse to move your pilot's virtual finger around and flick all the switches?
