Garry's Mod..
:smug:
No. Just... no.
Second Life would be a better RPG then anything Garry's Mod could do. You get used to the vampires and furries after a while.
Team Fortress 2
In a srs note, any old console games like earthbound
I couldn't get past the first parts. People say it gets better but I'm impatient.
[editline]07:07PM[/editline]
nope
[editline]07:07PM[/editline]
played, played, played, played.
[editline]07:09PM[/editline]
I really don't understand why Diablo 2 is the best game ever. Maybe it's because that's the game you were playing when you were a kid, and you have fond memories. But it's really not fun, even when playing with 4 of my friends at a LAN.
Opinions. I still play it from time to time, but now everything is just bots, spammers and hackers everywhere. Oh well.
I'm gonna suggest Metro 2033, I just recently got it and it's pretty cool. It isn't that fantasy'ish tho but there's monsters and shit. It's pretty linear and i've heard it has barely any replayability, but yeah. I can't come up with any other RPG at all to be honest that you havn't already played.
You get used to the vampires and furries after a while.
hahahaha no

it's not even an RPG!
hahahaha no

Then what is it?
Then what is it?
It's a action first person shooter. There is only a hint of RPG in there, but it doesn't let you role play at all or explore much.
Well if you ever get bored and want to try Fallout 3 again do it with mods. It really does change the game for the better. You jerk ass.

Love you too babe. And I have played it with mods, I'll probably play it again eventually.

Okay well apologises then.
I'm about to try Venetica and Gothic 3. Hopefully they aren't terrible like the other ones.
And if they are terrible, I might just replay ME2 or DA:O or something good.
[editline]10:51AM[/editline]
oh yeah and Sacred 2.
Well I didn't see it suggested.
Knights of the Old Republic. The first and second got re-released for PC.
It was suggested already.
It was suggested already.
Well it appears that most of the good RPGs have been suggested throughout the thread already. Take you pick. Tons are released, only so few are worth playing. As long as they can suck me in and get me obsessed with the story and customizing my character, I'm having fun.

Impatience and RPGs just don't go together.

I agree, and that's exactly what I'm looking for. Dragon Age nailed it. So many others fell very short.
What recent RPGs did you personally enjoy? Even if other people didn't like them or if I already mentioned it.
Impatience and RPGs just don't go together.
I've tried many times but I just can't do turn based, paused combat stuff like that. I never used it in Dragon Age, those tactics things were a lifesaver. KOTOR was meh. I know how much everyone else loves it but I never did.
Fable 2 is crap... well at least i felt it was, completely took my experiences with fable 1 and ruined it.
Fable 2 has one of the worst endings of all time.
[sp]I mean come -on-. Save my family or save the Spire's workers? Apparently the "good" choice is to save the Spire and the 1,000s of random people there, and in many other games I'd agree ("greater good", long-term outcome, better ending etc.). But in this case, the chocie is ridiculous. If you save the Spire, you get to go back to an empty house, with all your family gone & dead. Or save your family, and be chastided for not saving Anonymous H. Mann. I like to think that with either outcome, be game just ends with the protaganist jumping off a cliff.[/sp]
Guild 2

The only RPGs I ever played were KotOR 1 & 2, Mass Effect 2, and Fable TLC.
I played Oblivion, but guess what people! I didn't like it! Not that it was bad, I was just busy and not sucked in enough.
I don't think Avernum 6 has been suggested yet?
If not: Avernum 6 is pretty good.
I don't care what you say, Diablo 2.
Don't play Gothic 3, it's awful. Even with the community patches. :smith:
Gothic 1&2 however are pretty cool, play them.
Gothic 1&2 however are pretty cool, play them.
Yes, get Gothic 2, it's great
Also, DWARF FOTRESS
Dragon age
Guild 2
You mean The Guild 2? It's only fun when you're playing with a bunch of your friends.
Titan Quest. I had so much fun in it. Hell, I started a new character today. Level 9 now!

I'm very sorry for you. You should play Dragon Age.

Who cares of how it looks?
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Try the demo, at least...
I don't really get this thread. People suggesting the same stuff over and over, OP stating everything is shit and he already tried every other game.
Doesn't like all the classy RPGs.
OP, what do you like about RPGs anyway, doesn't seem to be your genre
Star Wars knights of the old republic is 2004 I think, but its still a great game. Its made by the same people as mass effect and you can tell. Some people might disagree with me, but I actually enjoyed SW:KotOR more than mass effect or mass effect 2. SW:KotOR 2 is kinda meh, I didnt really like it nearly as much.
