Uh... What's this? I found it in the level editor.... does it actually work?

[editline]9th April 2011[/editline]
If you do get them working, could you put em up for download?
Yes. I think I'll see if I can use the wayback machine to get to the wiki
Putting the finishing touches on my second level. Might upload it for shits and giggles, but I'm not sure yet. It's really short and mostly platforming, but basically you start in a rough cave, and as you move up it begins smoothing out until you're in a castle-like area. I thought it was pretty snazzy. I'll upload a screenshot later. Quite tired right now.

Level editing itself works perfectly fine, level testing ends up with you flying everywhere while you see everyone else standing still. If the host is a person living in your city, it'll work perfectly fine for you, except that only thing syncing will be stuff that the host sees so you need to stick around him. Also the wiki is down because it was hosted by someone else who stopped hosting it. And the author quit working on the game so the website isn't updated anymore, he might or might not pick it up sometime again. But, don't bother with the wiki, it was useless anyway. He apparently quit because way too many people kept asking for more and more stuff, but i just saw that somewhere in an unofficial forum. So no clue if its true or nope.
Aha, pretty much figured this out now. I'm using a remake of 'atomyk ebonpyre' from homestuck that I made in FL studio for the 'ship' levels.
What kind of a dick stops working on a brilliant game and doesn't make it open source!
Pretty much all Sonic fangame developers? v:v:v
Add multiplayer and I'm sold.
Playing this with my brother in a link&mario combo is so goddamn much fun! I am sorry for everyone here who can't enjoy this in a 2 player settings! You'll find some friends soon :v: [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] Kidding  [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] you won't
I'm halfway done replacing music files.
http://www.solidfiles.com/d/4046/download/ These are the first few levels of my airship thing. Just getting used to the editor, unpack in SMBX > Worlds I made atomyk1 and atomyk2, but atomyk3 was made by whoever.
I wonder how super mario galaxy music would fit with this.
So I'm working on my third level, and I'm having considerable difficulty coming up with obstacles and stuff to make it interesting. Basically, it's a standard level that eventually turns all crazy and mechanical at the end. What would you suggest, Facepunch?
Hidden powerups, precise jumps.
INFINITE SPIKES
dingus everywhere
fill a platform with spiked enemies and drybones. You must bounce off the dry bones to move forward!!!
Spinjump is infinitely superior.

How do you get those speech boxes to work? I was considering putting some in but I couldn't figure out how to do them. [sp]I'm probably just blind/stupid[/sp] :v:

Thanks for the help. Slowly figuring things out as I go. Speaking of, here's another part of my 3rd level. Suggestions?
I'm trying the "Princess Cliche" level pack. I've been trying for the last house to beat "mushroom heights" or what ever its called, I can't beat it, the parakoopas that chase you always fuck me up.
Speaking of events, I can't get figure out how to make a layer that continuously bobs up and down. :argh:
Make 2 new events, in event 1, set the Layer movement to the layer you want, and vertical speed to 2 (atleast i prefer writing 2 rather than other digits) Then make that event auto start, trigger the 2nd event and set delay to whatever time you want it go up. (Just experiment with it) On 2nd event, you do everything the same way, except you make it have vertical speed of -2, and trigger the 1st event with same delay. (and obviously keep autostart off on 2nd event)
The music is really bad, in my opinion.
Holy crap, never fight Bowser with two people. Me and my friend went through eighty lives in less than ten minutes. Why the creator thought that his second form was a good idea, I'll never know. [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] Oh, and if you're feeling like a douchebag, you can make those Kaizo level-end traps in the editor.
